++Guitar Hero World Tour unoffical thread++

Well been a while since I last posted or updated.

Thats because there is not really anything to update. Few more review scores added. But no new songs planned yet, other than the ones on the OP. Please correct me if i am wrong here guys.

I would like to comment on the game but my xbox RROD 2 days after I got this game :(

im a new drummer on tehese games and despite the guitar stuff being a bit of a letdown im loving this on drums now :)

looking forward to getting my rockband 1 songs back though :)

Anyone got both the Rock Band and Guitar Hero drum sets?

If so can they give a quick overview of which the prefer, what problems arise etc. with both?

i own the gh ones and had the RB from a mate for a week.

prefer the GH ones, the symbols although lacking in sensitivity make the overall experience better.

the sensitivity can be fixed though, im waiting for my cable to come through.

kudos to red octane, my drum kit sensitivity ajusting wire thing has come. thats maybe a week since i asked for it. thumbs up for them, i expected the usual 28 days.

will try it out and report back how its done

sweet will be expecting mine soon

as im only a nub at drumming i just swapped the orange / yellow cymbals around as one is more sensitive then the other and this now sorts me out short term but i expect the lead /. drum software to be really helpful for fine tuning.

so ive just had a go at tuning my kit to make them more sensitive, i can see why they sent then being a little under sensitive, i put all the pads on 20 which is the max setting and the symbols were getting set off when i hit the drums and vice versa,so thing i found the right balance.

got my symbols on 15, they set each other off very easily, got my red on 13 as it seemed to be set of from the yellow on occasion, got the blue and green on 15 which are fine with the orange.

gonna have a play and prob fine tune a little more, but over all i only needed tiny adjustments.

the symbols need to be hit in the center at the top right as thats were the sensor is, even at max sensitivity near the edge sometimes doesnt get picked up.

I fixed one about 2 weeks ago to give to my GF, I used the X-clamp fix as well as the xecuter ram pad fix.

Before I did it the console was 3rrod as soon as you pressed the on button, as soon as I applied the fixes the console worked perfectly and I have since clocked about 5 hours on it to test and haven't had a hiccup.

With the clamp fix I did the bolts up as tight as I could with my fingers then gave them a quarter turn further with a socket. It really is easy to do and since you have already opened it it is worth a shot.

Thanks for the help, i'll give it a go! Although i'm not in too much of a hurry as a ran out and got a ps3 for the meanwhile.

my kit is going back to the shop, the drums suck (no cable yet) the guitar strummer doesnt come back up properly when down strummed.

ill see if i can get another box of tricks off them as im not happy with it at the moment.

Is the guitar generally pants or is that just a one off faulty unit? Have asked for GH:WT and wireless guitar for christmas, i'm not too fussed if the game isn't as good as they others as i'll be picking up the solus' of all of the other games, it's just that this will be my only guitar and if it sucks well... that'll suck.

I personally dont like the guitar, and Im thinking of selling it because I dont use it - its mainly because of the strummer, there is no sound to it and its very soft and not very satisfying to hit. That and it makes a VERY Annoying "squeak" every time I hit it (a plastic against plastic type of sound)

The guitar is also quite heavy (a lot heavier than the les paul) and theres no real advantage over the les paul when using it so Its pretty pointless :(

Hmm, well they don't sound like game breaking problems, on the PS3 the advantage is it's compatible with all of the other guitar games, when i asked for it the GH3 guitar wasn't compatible, it is now but meh. I guess i'll have to live with my decision.

my guitar is perfect, no squeeks of any kind and a good click from the strummer( i really hated the RB one because it didnt click). its heavier but feals more solid. maybe some people from here got a bad batch, but my only problem was the drum sensitivity which is now fixed thanks to the cable from red octane.
