Cool, cheers guys, my concerns have been addressed. Looking forward to getting this; it's going to be the first guitar game I will own. I'll also be picking up Rock band and GH3 in the xmas sales so it seems i'll have a bit of an overdose.

gh2 and 3 are both musts, they are better than world tour
I only own a PS3 and iirc GH2 was never released on it.
just got rid of mine, i was happy with the drums (exlcuding the sensitivity issue) the whammy bar on the guitar squeeked, the down strummer stuck sometimes so it didnt click next time i pressed it which was really offputting, and the slider didnt seem to hot either.
Microphone was ok.
now its gone i will get the drums when they become available on there own. and try and source a new GH3 Guitar for a reasonable price.
*forgot to put the mic and game back in the box on refund so still available for band get togethers
If I get hold of Guitar hero III (solus) - legends of Rock can I use the controller from world tour with it or do I need to get the specific controller for that version ?
The guitar is also quite heavy (a lot heavier than the les paul) and theres no real advantage over the les paul when using it so Its pretty pointless
I bought this on Monday with the guitar for PS3 and have played through about 70% of the songs in the carear mode, only on easy though, I'm new to guitar games...
I'm still struggling with the faster sections though, even when it's the same note and I'm just having to strum quickly. I just can't get the quicker timing right. It also seems like the guitar is dropping notes occasionaly when I'm sure I've hit them fine.
There never seems time to get to the slider bit for the few times it's needed too, so I tend to ignore it.
Do the harder difficulty levels make a bit more sense on some songs? as it seems the easy level misses out notes which sometimes messes up the timing or flow of the tune. I can't imagine I'll ever be able to attempt the hardest level, my fingers just aren't fast enough.
Is it worth trying Rock Band? Is it any better?
