Gumball 3000 to start this Sunday.

Total idiots. Too much money, no driving skill and no respect for the cars or roads.

If I had a such a car, yes I would give it a bit of welly from time to time, but only when safe to do so, on roads that I know. I wouldn't endanger other peoples lives as they are so blatantly doing..

Then you wouldnt go anywhere you didnt know the roads in your nice car... might as well stick it back in its cellophane and not touch it eh.. These people love their cars and love to drive.. the gumball is undoubtedly a fantastic experience with such passion that mistakes do happen.. gumballers go on the rally knowing what to expect and what can happen.. its a calculated risk that only adds to the excitement.
 
err no..if I didn't know the roads then I'd make sure not to drive like a tit.

On roads I know, I'd have fun but be sensible. If you want to drive on the edge, take it to a track.

If they’ve calculated the risk, then they should have no complaints if they’re charged with murder rather than manslaughter, if/when they mow down innocent bystanders. Max Cooper will find himself going from hero to zero when the odds catch up with those driving recklessly - but I’m not accusing all GumBallers of doing so.

Anyway i've been following the Gumball from http://www.gumball3000blog.com/ and it seems to be going well.

Well bar the crashes ;) So the purple Lambos down, SLR's have broken down but have been fixed, the camo paint job Rolls Royce Phantom has crashed.
Team TangoSpeed's 911 turbo has a blown engine.

What next I wonder....oooo I wait in anticipation.


Have an SLR overtake me on way back from Cowdray Park Polo bank holiday Monday.
Double white lines for ages, roads winding and underlating and hes nipping out and in taking over everyone he can as often as he can. One bloke had to come to a stop as he couldn't get back in once overtaking.

He should enjoy it while it lasts. He'll write it off soon...

Well I guess if you have the car to be able to pull those moves but he was pushing it a wee bit to far. Was nearly a head on crash at one point. Now watching an slr being cocky and crash head on would make me giggle like a school girl.

I like to see the cars actually get driven hard and maybe crashed. Do they care? They will just buy a new one :D

So what if they have a lot of money? They have made it. Why cant they go out on a great experience and see what thier cars can actually do. See what they paid a lot of money for.

Its much better than just letting the car sit in a garage most of the time, sometimes just taking it out on a track. What experience is that? You can go on the track anytime.

Driving for 3000 miles with a load of other supercars as a group... you cant do that everyday. Fair enough if they are sometimes stupid. They get thier enjoyment out of it dont they?

Do you think that it would make good viewing, the cars not taking risks? It would be boring if all the cars just drove sensibly, at normal speeds... you paid your £40,000 for that? I dont think so :p
 
Also I really don't believe that any of the gumballers would purposefully put other peoples lives at risk just for ****s and giggles.

Sure, alex roy drives at insane speeds through traffic, but he has a siren, so it's all good :cool: lol
 
Yea. Alex Roy, drives like a mad man. He has some skill though. Hes a good driver. Always gets to the checkpoints first. Using any means possible :D
