Gumball 3000 to start this Sunday.

yea just saw it when i refreshed the page with the links on lol, cheers a lot mate :), if anyone else has anymore feel free to share :)

went to this today and it was absolutely amazing. Got there early and saw all the cars still parked up in trafalgar car park, watched them race down to the start and head off as well.

We also saw the first failure of the rally. One of the F40's broke down right in front of us. Got some pics of the coppers pushing it up the road to a side road :D

Quality day tho

Saw plenty of Gumball cars passing through the A20 on Lee (next to Blackheath) early this evening, didn't have a camera handy though it would have been nice if they let me out onto the main road I was trying to turn out from :p

Was quite a sight, rare to see two Astons, a Lambo, a Ferrari and a couple of Porsches lined up behind each other.

I've just got home, 1am, was so worth it tho. I've filled about 2.5Gb of XD cards of 400+ pics and video, lots of video. I'll be converting it all tomorrow and uploading and I'll post back with links as soon as I can.

Best video by far has to be be 3 Met officers pushing the broken down F40 off the road to a side street!

Interesting to see the Met Police had stepped up their game with a Gallardo this year, maybe they can keep up down to the chunnel for a change!

Heard about that from AndyT, cambelt went infront of them apparently.. gutted! But as i said, he had probably already bought a new one and imported it... :p

On a side note

If my taxes go to the goverment, and the government fund the police service, and the police buy a Gallardo. Technically i own part of that gallardo and i should get to drive it at some point... agreed?

Yeah, it stopped about 50 yrds from us, then after it had all ended we went down the side street and found it at the bottom for a load of pics!

I'm not sure about the Gallardo tbh, it was driven by officers and had all the correct stickers on it, but it may just have been a advert of come sort saying they were taking speeding seriously. Can't really see them buying one as part of the force fleet somehow :)

Indeed. Although, i believe it was the LAPD that bought 2 Dodge Vipers a while back when they were having problems with professional thieves being able to actually 'get away'...

Just got home as went for a Chinese afterwards in good ol' China town.

Was a good day but I got there late as went to Camdem Town first. Got there about 3:30 so was packed out. Took all the photos I could get a good enough shot to take and then went to find a place to watch the cars go by.

Some very nice cars. If it was lush it was probably there within reason.

Quite of lot of SLR's. Personally If I owned an SLR and I turned up and saw like 3 others I would be a bit biffed! Haha but all well and done some smashing cars.

Was good to see the old cars, And old Jag and another car from Beaulieu I think.

Was also good to see some people returning from years gone and more new comers to entertain us.

The two mini's there, Coopers but not Copper S's JCW cars. Was surprised but they were just a big Windows Mobile 5 advert on wheels...

Also while they were all driving out, I saw a very nice Merc coming. V12, Biturbo, AMGed but sadly to say it wasn't in the Gumball, don't no If anyone got a picture of it. Was silver in colour...

Try going to Le Mans then. Those sights are common and so you start looking for the McLaren F1s and Pagani Zondas instead :)
