I think it won the bling award last year... Hope it does well again these year, hope they have that aircooled porshe engine cooled properly! :)

I remember seeing them init last year. Fast thing.

Had problems with the cooling as said.

They still got the same engine or a new one? Need to get a few Tornado fans on that engine anyway :D

Man, that thing broke down more times than an old Aston Martin Lagonda.

Doesn't suprise me, I dont know the specs of the engine in that bus, but I suspect its either a 2.2 or a very stressed 1776. Hopefully they've gone for a flat four which isn't too highly tuned which will give them some grunt, but lessen the breakdowns :p .

They were running a 3.6 993 lump last year so I doubt they'd downgrade to a Type 4 or even (God forbid!) a Type 1 lump.

Ah, ok, thanks for the info, do you have any more information on the bus? What kind of oil cooling system are they using? Makes you laugh when the early bay windows were running 1600cc engines, that split (being a 60's one) probably came stock with a 1500cc or 1600cc :D

jamie oliver has a camper van with a porsche engine i believe, quite cool idea i wonder who thought about doing it

People in the VW scene have been doing it for years, long before Jamie Oliver even bought his bus, its not a new idea. I just love the idea of a Porsche engine 60's Splitty in the Gumball :D If I could go in any vehicle - that would be it, even if it did take 30 days! :p

~300 pics taken from the grid itself. We DV cammed the entire race start and plenty of other stuff during the day, should have that up soon hopefully :D

Jamie 'The fat-tongued mockney ****' Oliver does not have a Porsche engine in his camper.

Sorry...That irritates me as much as people who say that Porsche into dub is easy; "Drops straight in, mate."

Typical Pub Experts. :/

Mr. Oliver (and 99% of 'porsche-engined' dubs) as a Type 4 engine.

It's still a VW-produced flat-4 engine...Just not the Type 1 that most expect.

That was what I was trying to say in my post, that Jamie Oliver isn't the first to use this idea. I also didn't say that they dropped straight in. So who was this directed at?
