Why would you decide never again. You get it at a significantly reduced price and as long as you do your research, it's a great model. That allows games that would otherwise never be made. Small dev teams need funding, and it's a good direct method of getting finding as well as feedback from people who will actually play the game, rather than random executives of dome big company.
 
SOE are not a small dev team. They are huge. I'm all for supporting small teams if the game sounds like something I'd enjoy and its a little different and without funding could never be made.

Ie Star Citizen, Assetto Corsa, etc etc etc.

SOE have the backing of Sony who could easily fund this project. The games going to be free to play so they have the funds to cover it.

A) Aknor wasn't talking about just this game
B) if you don't want to buy ore release don't. Why on earth do you want to stop other people doing so?

Rofl they've always planned to do a paid ore release and will have been taken into the costs/profits.

The more I see of this the more I'm looking forward to it's release. I loved DayZ but it seems to have a gone a little stale recently, so I'm hoping they release some big updates to brighten it up a bit. This on the other hand sees really sorted from the start, the worlds look fantastic and the zombies seem much more believable.

It's not out currently,

Alpha release should come in the next few weeks, from the recent videos/dev streams it looks like most things are in place.

I think Summit is doing a H1Z1 stream tonight with the devs, I think I remember reading this somewhere :confused:

I think they are gearing up for an announcement @ SOE Live (August 14-17)

They have a few H1Z1 panels on throughout the event but it wouldn't surprise me if at the end of the event they announce its "LIVE" then watch their servers get hammered.

You haven't heard my mate, every day on mumble he sounds like a kid from one of those Christmas videos on youtube where they get over excited about everything.

I don't even need to look up any news/sub reddit for H1Z1 any more because I just get him to relay me everything that's going on :D
 
I've followed H1Z1 on twitch but i've never seen them go live. :(

Anyone know when we'll be getting any new footage of this game? i've already uninstalled DayZ after not playing it in ages.
