H1Z1 - Zombie apocalypse sandbox from SOE

I'm so hyped to see zombies running in a straight line like a bunch of lemmings again I exploded.

Spils...you disappoint, I was waiting for a tirade like we had on the gaming buddies facebook page :D

Seriously though, can you point out to these decent folk here why it doesn't actually look so good. Even my mind is changing a little after the recent videos/screens.

Well the Zombies in the recent videos looked terrible. Mainly due to the bug where they would stop and stand still for several seconds before attacking. If you watch the latest video I posted above they appear to have fixed that on the latest build and the Zombies are actually now starting to look good.

They still need to add in the grappling system which is in development to make the Zombies even more complete.

Overall I would say the game has lots of potential. Whether it can live up to it is another thing.

Say it's 100 per server, and you build - after a few weeks there is going to be a lot there.

Are buildings per session or ongoing?
 
Apparently it's going to be one server which can hold up to about 2500 people, at least the early hype machine pointed that way ;)

How many players can one server host?
As with Landmark and PlanetSide 2, H1Z1 uses the ForgeLight engine so we have the potential to support thousands of players simultaneously in game. With H1Z1, however, we want to find the balance between it feeling like a zombie apocalypse and having others to play with. As development continues we will adjust the number of players allowed on each server.

Gonna be just like ps2 even your character is bound to each server
 
Thanks, it's looking promising, but god they need to work on zombies. No hordes, and haven't even seen them react 9/10 times. And they've been attacked a fair few times and didn't die.
Hopefully this will come as it's so early in development.
