H1Z1 - Zombie apocalypse sandbox from SOE

Don't forget it is EA lads, even right now you are doing your job and stressing the login system. Fingers crossed tomorrow we can all get into the game :)

Friend of mine is in game too.

I'm still screwed with insisting that I reset password or contact customer services.

Some of the steam reviews are hilarious, or maybe I'm just overly tired:

Only $20 for epic H1Z1 desktop wallpaper?? Yes please! This is a steal!

For all you noobs who don't know how to play:
1) Start game.
2) Push Print Screen when awesome wallpaper image comes up.
3) Wait for game to crash.
4) Load Paint and ctrl+v
5) Save image.
6) Set as desktop wallpaper.

Your game is now complete!!! You're welcome!

Just played for 2 hours, its very good. Very hard and blows DayZ out of the water in terms of how far it has come along and how smooth it plays. However it feels like a completely different genre.

Its fun, its atmospheric and the zombies are solid and don't run through walls. Not encountered many bugs apart from I logged out of the server I was in to join my friends and haven't been able to get back in since :(

^Did you get in just via constant trying?

Good to hear some positive feedback, I expected worse.

No, I bought it the second it came up on Steam. It downloaded in 4 minutes and I got in straight away. My four friends took a little longer to download and only one managed to get in from constant trying. I have tried several times since and just get the G99 error.

I'm hitting the hay and will try tomorrow. All I will say is there is plenty of vehicles, weapons (guns inside police station) and the physics are amazing, especially when you run deer over. However, it is very hard and **** scary when you hear the wolves howling. I can see it being very difficult to meet with friends as half the time you haven't a clue where you are! That being said, there is nothing better than sitting in a house, doors closed and zombies trying to get in whilst its raining outside and you can hear it beating down on the roof.
