H1Z1 - Zombie apocalypse sandbox from SOE

Just had an hour on this finally. Had to register a new account, not that it matters as your Handle is unique on every server.

Managed to find a mate quite easily following road signs. Searched around, couldn't find any food or water. We ran around for an hour, found some buildings, cars, people, zombies, bears, deer.

Ended up dying of starvation and dehydration. Epic first hour. Only managed to find an empty bottle and a hammer.

... at least the constant rain looked pretty though!
 
Loot is a tad thin on the ground, I doubt it even respawns yet so once somewhere is looted it may well stay like that. Does anyone know if loot does respawn? I don't think it does yet tbh.
 
It seems a vast majority of players are outraged about the inclusion of air drops via microtransactions. A popular streamer purchased two air drops, which included armour, backpacks, and guns.

Airdrops are nothing really hearing people that have been playing it all day people are killing other players with high powered rifles and gear from airdrops with sticks etc quite easy so its not like having airdrops will be op.

For a free to play game there is a lot of moaning. people paying for early access knew what it was about before they bought it they have said about it weeks before so its hardly a new thing to find out now its hardly like its a £50 game lol.

Regarding loot i was in 30 mins when home for lunch and in that time i killed a guy who had a axe and rifle with a stick and now geared up from the police station so it isn't that hard to find stuff.

Easiest way to find food is run through the bushes and you will get blackberrys. Also if you have an empty bottle you can fill it in the rain. It will be dirty water though so find/make a fire and heat it up

Plenty of wells about you can use to. Also you can smash the crates in buildings for items as well. Normally planks and seeds.

Nope i agree people really don't understand the word testing. It wouldn't start last night it was called a bug people raging about that blah blah blah its bit petty really when the whole steam pages says its not finished etc
 
Anyone else finding that all NPCs are just standing around doing nothing?

I just killed a bear with my bare hands! It didnt fight back :( Then I couldnt figure out what to do with the body. I felt so guilty.

I also wailed on a Zombie for a bit and no fighting back.

One game mechanic they should do is have player bodies rise up as zombies.
