H1Z1 - Zombie apocalypse sandbox from SOE

Joined an eu server soon as they launched, got a ton of loot after ten minutes. Found the machine guy but no ammo, was on a roof and could hear two Russian bloaks, 1 in a car saying he just found the ammo and another saying he's searching the building I was in and just got ammo for his pistol. Got scared and logged out :rolleyes::D
 
Me and my friend decided to be bandits for the evening last night...

We held a guy at gun point (we had 2 shotguns each but no ammo in them) made him lie on the floor and drop all food he had... he did, we then told him he can leave without being killed...5 seconds later a whole gang of people come running down the road with machine guns and pistols trying to kill us. My friend dies but I manage to break away and hide in a building and log off (:D)

Morale of the story..people poo themselves if you have a weapon in your hand even though ammo is harder to find, oh and also people usually have backup!
 
My H1Z1 experience so far:
Bought the game out of curiosity.
Massively unimpressed.
Got refund from Steam.
Game still works.
lol.

Edit: I know there's been some patches over the last week or so so I may give it another go.
 
It's much better now

Appears that the new EU servers actually have fixed the zombies AI so they are pretty deadly now.

Loot is awsome at the moment. Found 2 AR15s, pistols, metal, etc.. So far this morning i've built a deck foundation, two basic shacks, about 5 storage containers, stolen a police car and jeep, a small shelter and a large metal shelter on the deck.
 
Just had my first go on this, pretty good so far, didn't find much loot though other than a bow, pistol and a little food and water.

Headed over to pleasant valley where a friendly player helped me deal with some zombies, unfortunately we didn't spot the two kos players behind us:(

If anyone needs a helping hand in exchange for guidance i'll help.
 
So last night I have managed to create a full base with walls gates and shack with a door...I have constant water/food supply. Can you rotate the buildings you want to place and I am after another platform without the stairs is this possible.

I have a stash with a lot of weapons along with a car, just need a spare battery for some lights to put up in the base ^^

I need to stop being carless because I was looting a supermarket and left the car outside (without anything to start) but had our weapons in there...came out and a guy got in and took a pistol. Asked him nicely to put it back which he didn’t so shot him down :) i try to be nice at first but don’t leave it too long so that they don’t get the first shot in!

Just on another server and an airdrop landed within 150m of me, so i ran to it thinking i was probably closer than everyone else....

i was wrong! within 1 minute there were players and arrows flying everywhere! good fun though:D
