H1Z1 - Zombie apocalypse sandbox from SOE

Have heard this is pay 2 win which is slightly putting me off. is it as bad as they say?

I havent seen a single airdrop...they have made some changes to how the work. Move slower, fall slower...decreased the chance of getting the loot with guns. You also have to fight for it.

Tbh I dont mind it really but each to their own...I would like some events put in for free though but that might be later down the road who know

In no single way is it pay to win.
Not only have I not seen one single air drop in game.
The air drops in twitch etc are always contested and hardly ever go to the person who paid for it.
Like a lot if the time, people like to rage and they'll find any excuse.
 
So how large is the map and city’s compared to let’s say Chenarus, one thing that would put me off would be if it’s made specifically to keep players close.

Some of the best encounters I’ve had is when totally unexpectedly running into people in some remote town or part of the map, will be hard to have that if the maps so small you know people are around every corner.

It's probably smaller than Chernarus atm, but its big enough that you wouldn't run into people constantly, unless you chill within cities, etc :p
 
I think I saw my first cheater today, was in the other town/city (not pleasant valley) and was suddenly attacked by someone with a machete however he was completely invisible!

That's not a hacker mate. Everyone was invisible to me yesterday, even Witcher's jeep was invisible to me.. I did a validate file son steam and it downloaded a small file, no idea if it fixed it or not, as it was a bit late..

im on birmingham :D with our lot

games not bad a lot better than rust. not enough loot though. inventory and crafting and gui is quick and fluid . could be a great game with the right additions.

Revised loot spawn rules

Your nameplate will not display while prone.

Fixed Metal Doors to open/close/lock/unlock properly.

Punji stick traps, dew collectors, and rabbit traps will now slowly decay over time. They can be repaired with a hammer.

Punji sticks have lower health and should be a little easier to remove.

Spool of twine now has a unique icon.

The arrow recipe now produces one arrow instead of two.

Increased placed barricade resistance to damage.

Slightly raised the chance to harvest usable cloth from dead zombies.

Metal pipes, metal sheets, and hunting rifles can be melted down in furnaces for metal bars.

There were two Calamity (EU) servers. One has been renamed to Collapse (EU). Please check the green character indicator on the far left of server select to see if which server your character is on.

The ground tamper item has been disabled and the recipe to make it is no longer discoverable

Improved Vehicle Survivability

Rotten food has been removed from the fridge spawners
