Note, I am not arguing for or against religious methods of slaughter, I am not religious and I find the notion of Halal meat odd when compared to how seafood is considered in Islam, in that it doesn't have to be Halal, despite the far worse ways it's acquired and killed compared to land animals (pulled out of the sea and left to suffocate).

Do you have any proof of this? I find it very hard to believe having my neck cut open and left to bleed out would be preferable to being knocked unconscious beforehand.

This is not forcing halal on you at all. Simply don't eat there. There is no reason why you need to eat there.

Exercise your right, just like they are exercising their right to conduct profitable business.

That's a fabrication spread by those in favour of Halal practices. Using a bolt gun to fire a metal bolt directly into the skull actually renders the animal completely unconscious immediately. Where as slicing open an animals throat without a bolt gun, especially for larger animals like cattle, means that the animal remains conscious in abject pain, torment, terror and agony for around 30 seconds or more.

A quick google search reveals plenty of videos demonstrating this.

Jesus I know that, my point is I might of enjoyed subways and I am now forced to find another sandwich shop on principle. What is so hard to understand?

Nothing apart from your usage of - "why should I be forced" You aren't forced to do anything. Glad you know agree.

Nope but you can look at the mountains of scientific evidence, the vast majority of which goes against your selectively picking 1 or two studies, probably by agenda driven groups.

This means little, who financed it and who carried it out? These are the important questions, nit the instution.

Why do you ignore the stab of other scientific research that disagrees with you and them.

Yes stunning doesn't always work 5-10%, but that's a darn site better than 100% not stunned.

As we have tried and know just as much blood drains out via gravity. Both need banning and moving to a 100% humane method. as things aren't practice over night. Ban non stunning, then set a date to ban stunning and moving to a more humane method.

More media coverage to bash Muslims. Not a lot going on lately in the Muslim world. So now Halal is the next big thing. Continue bashing Muslims you non Muslim folks. It's what you do best. And media are doing a great job putting fear back in to the public.
