Half-Life 2: Episode 1

well i'm all loaded and ready to go!

...grrr, 6pm, i have a BWL raid starting at 7pm and the next 4 days im in work.
 
just had a thought... does anybody know if the uber-gravity gun will be present all through or only at the start? could make the game too easy methinks.
 
I'm really looking forward to this now. I wasn't that bothered until yesterday but I played through HL2 again and its got me hyped up. Hope we get to explore some more of the citadel and especially those trans-human beings.

Does this mean it'll take about 12 hours to download the 'unlocking' part of the game like it did with the origional HL2?

Chill! You'd hope they are more prepared this time and that it's quicker anyway being a smaller file to unlock. I'll be starting Steam shortly after 7pm, see if I'm still calm then...

Okay then, I'll do that. I might buy it today actually, just to keep up with everybody else, and to hell with the consequences of not having enough money! Who needs food when you've got HL2:EP1? :p

Decided to go for the full retail version in the end, due to me not having a credit card, and the fact that no one is willing to use their credit card for me, so I'll just have to use my bank card. It's only £4 difference anyway, and at least I'll get a shiny case and disc, so I get something physical for my money. :)
 
Wonder how long before the inevitable "omfg steam won't connect\unlock the files\let me play" posts are made. :p
