A paricitic zombie force that "Floods their enemy"

They start off as bouncy face-huger type things then take over your nervous system and make you do bad things. (they can also reanimate the dead)

The flood is something you have to experience really, especially in Halo 1 on Heroic or Legendary difficulty.

Their like a parasitic form which infects living beings (like the human and covenant). Basically from the books as well as the game I know that the "infection forms" which are the smaller ones take over the targets mind and nervous system and basically control them like living dead
