You're forgetting that people in general are stupid. Think of how low the average intelligence is... well half of the population is BELOW that level.

Seriously, are you telling me that there isn't much of an improvement, i think a trip to spec savers is required

Seriously, who really cares about the visuals when the combat is this involved. I love Gears of War, played it to death in single and multiplayer, but it's a complete no brainer when compared to Halo on Legendary. Try playing level 2 of Halo 3 at this setting - it's absolutely awesome and even on its own one of the most enjoyable fps experiences i've ever had.
 
I'm amazed at the score edge has given it 10/10, there is no way that Halo 3 is that good. It's all very well having forge and theatre IF it interests you, it doesn't interest me (and others) in the slightest so what does that leave? Just another generic shooter with a weak short SP mode.

Finish level 2 on Legendary and then say that. Seriously, I don't mean that as some sort of challenge, I just don't understand why some people can't see how wonderfully deep and complex Halo can be in single player - games like FEAR, Far Cry, HL2 etc etc are total no brainers in comparison!

On the flood levels i never bothered killing any, just run past them. Quicker but doesnt get the satisfaction of killing them.

I just worked out (using saved films) it took me 8 hours approx on normal, playing and enjoying it, but still speeding through it slighltly (wanted to know the story, I'll be playing it through again at least ten times before the end of the year.
 
Just bought Halo 3 and have only completed Halo before years ago, is there a text version of the backstory about, it's probably been posted but don't wanna look past the first page in case there are any spoilers and dont wanna spend ages watching clips!

The manual has a "the story so far" page which covers everything the first two games cover.
