I do that a lot. Its because I cant aim and i'm concentrating so hard on hitting them that I forget to move about enough so as not to present a stationary target.

I enjoyed the games a bit better last night, but this is the first 360 game where I have thought I'd rather be using KB and mouse. I see someone go to target them and move 2 inches to the left of them, then I correct to 2 inches the other side.

I'm struggling to get the aiming nailed. Especially with the sniper rifle.

Poor McD had to suffer my driving in the rocket races too. It wasn't til the end of the first game I realised I was going for checkpoints not kills.

I didnt even realise til the end I was getting melee'd up close. Didnt understand what beat down meant.

I hate to say it, but for all the stick SP has gotten

I'm rather enjoying it :o

Gives me a chance to look through some weapons. Practice my driving ;)

Hopefully I can finish this on SP soon on my own and co-op some legendary.
 
Thanks guys, I will take you both up on that. I think I'm about to start level 5 floodgate. I hopefully can finish most of this today. I will message you both when I'm ready. I dont mind how its done a level a day til the MP kicks off, either way. Nice to just play through with some help :)
 
I'm finding the way multiplayer games are set up in Halo 3 to be very poor. Unless you have enough friends online for a custom game, you seem to be forced into random gametypes and maps, which quite frankly is utter rubbish. Last night we wanted to set up 4 vs. 4 ctf on a specific map, me and friends vs. anyone who wanted to drop in, and it just wasn't possible. Surely this is the most basic requirement for any online fps? Instead, the the roster was always filled to the max 5 vs. 5 and the gametype and maps were selected at random. Not once did we get to play the map/gametype we wanted and most of the time was spent playing some of the more crappy gametypes on maps I certainly wouldn't have wanted to play them on. It's a real shame as, when we do have enough mates online, Halo 3 multiplayer is awesome, but this random game setup is absolutely terrible!

Heh I'm still on level 3 :)

But I'll jump to legendary whenever.
 
Just completed the single player, was quite hard on some parts (i hate the damn flood).
Is it possible to join a random multiplayer campaign game? When ever i go onto the option it creates a new game... no, i want to join someone elses!

Well after getting my ass handed to me at the end of the first level on Heroic (the damn dam bridge bit) I've now breezed my way to ch. 4 on normal and I'm not finding it that testing.

Tried a few mp training map missions and think I'm starting to get the hang of it. Even won my first one this morning with a killing spree of 10 (no achievement though!) and would be well up for joining some games. (Who do I need to bug for invites) Haven't done anything complicated with vehicles or team play yet though :P
