Hamilton hatred

Surprised there's no mention of Spitting Image yet. For anyone still struggling with rationalising the general dislike of Hamilton, the new Spitting Image has done a good job of explaining it.

I think here might be more to this than meets the eye.

Didn’t he do a BBC interview a few weeks back where he admitted that his new contract could involve him not spending as much time with the team for next year ? Odd thing to assume but I wouldn’t put anything past this fool at the moment .

Agreed. I'd say it's more likely that they knew he'd been in contact with someone who'd shown covid symptoms - but delayed him isolating / having a test until after the race.
He had a negative test on Sunday afternoon.

"Lewis was tested three times last week and returned a negative result each time, the last of which was on Sunday afternoon at the Bahrain International Circuit as part of the standard race weekend testing programme.

"However, he woke up on Monday morning with mild symptoms and was informed at the same time that a contact prior to arrival in Bahrain had subsequently tested positive. Lewis therefore took a further test and returned a positive result. This has since been confirmed by a retest.

Wonder how long it'll be until he's bleating on about this being proof that the virus is racist?
I don't know if this is still considered true, but I remember in first few months of COVID-19 in the UK the government/scientific advisers were saying it did appear to affect certain ethnic groups worse than some others and that black was among the worst affected.

Knowing Hamilton, if he was just sick, he'd get in the car and race anyway, but he's not allowed to, and doesn't want to get anyone else sick, so he's stuck out of the car until he's better.

Surely the whole team and a bunch of other drivers should also be isolating? :p

You mean this? :P

Correct. Black, Asian and minority ethnics (BAME) are at a higher risk.

There’s some good information here: https://informationisbeautiful.net/visualizations/covid-19-coronavirus-infographic-datapack/
