good for lewis.
i cant see them liking mercedes if the team performs as it has the last few years.
ive not no problems with lewis replacing schumacher it obviously makes sense.

why would you keep an old driver with maybe 1 more season 2 at most when you can replace him with one of the best talents on the grid?

i dont think its the right decision for hamilton though, i guess for the button fans its the best news they could have

What does it say about MSc if Rosberg beats Lewis next year?

I think it's more, what does it say about Rosberg... He must be the undiscovered driver of the century if he pulled that one off...

Alternatively Lewis has really let personal issues get to him...

For MSc it just says that maybe he still had it, and Rosberg is just very very good.

I am a Mclaren fan, but that is because of Hamilton. Ill still support Mclaren and Hamilton even though he is with zeeee Germans.

He obviously knows something we dont.

Your fooling nobody.

yea really..
[skeeter]I seriously expected hamilton to say he had signed a contract with american idol but it seems chris brown stealing his girl friend put the freeze on that one.[/skeeter]

mercedes need to look to the future , schumacher obviously isnt the future...

hamilton , vettel obviously are if you can sign one why would you keep the old guy?

I have no doubt bernie was somehow involved in it all considering it was him who said schumacher is retiring and I bet mercedes got a really nice deal when they signed the new agreement this week for signing lewis.

win win for mercedes

What the hell?

Are you so desperate to have a stupid argument with me that you go around making random comments in the hope of starting a fight? Don't think I didn't see you an Mr Men trying to drag me into another petty late night bickering fest last night when I wan't even here!

All the attention is flattering an all, but I'd rather you just kept your mouth shut if you have nothing of worth to say.

We have Arknor, We have Skeeter but where is Mr Men to complete the trifecta :p

What I do not understand is that it was reported, and as far as I know not proven to be untrue, that McLaren offered the same monetary deal as Mercedes. Now without knowing the specific details, I presume this is prior to any deals and personal sponsorship they can do. To say he jumped ship just for the money, which while personal sponsors are lucrative I do not see that it is enough of a reason to leave, it does seem much more likely they Hamilton felt his position as McLaren was untenable and therefore when he got an offer from a reasonably top team he took it.

What amuses me is all these people claiming its stupid, he wont win etc. Who though Ferrari were completely out of it this season? and that was when we have some knowledge of pre-season testing. a lot of people are writing off next years car before we know anything about it and it is even more stupid to write off 2014 onwards due to the new regs meaning anything can happen.

Opened up Eurosport f1 section and was actually shocked by the headline. Was sure he would stay.

I'm a Hamilton fan over mclaren so I will still be following him.

Must make things awkward for the rest of the season tho.

It would be hilarious if Mercedes bumped off Rosberg over schui just to see a certain member explode.

I said a few years ago Hamilton was another Villeneuve in the making. Loads of talent but own arrogance not making him see how much you need the car after winning a title. Same attitude developing over pr and forgetting how you got there in the first place.

If this is a long term deal he's shot himself in the foot for money and time off. The only way this could work for him is of Mercedes stop supplying other teams with engines or this is a one year deal.

+1 a move made for money.

Bit of a strange move for Hamilton going to Mercedes:confused:. Are they better than McLaren?? personally i dont think they are so i see it as a step downwards for Hamilton.

Mind you they might have a car that could potentially win races and the F1 championship with Hamilton but its hard to tell. Guess Hamilton got fed up of the constant **** ups by McLaren, costing him wins and points with their reliability. So perhaps thats what broke the camels back so to speak.

Bizarre move by Hamilton in all honesty but ill wait till next year to see how it pans out for him.

Good luck to him next year. Either way it will be interesting to see how well/badly Hamilton does at Mercedes next year.

I think it's a good move personally. He's becoming more and more unliked at MC. Maybe he's hoping Brawn can do for him what they did for Button.

Remember that was a car pretty much with 2 seasons work, shame it still didn't have the Honda name

Just read the news, being neutral on the situation and supporting none of the drivers or teams I am glad to see this. Shakes things up. I don't wish it on him but do wonder ifhe will rregret it.

Great news for Perez. The biggest winner! I wonder if Hamilton will start throwing his toys Round if they don't start winning. I still think Mclaren will be ahead of merc next year. If he does I hope he gets the same abuse alonso did.

Good news for the spectacle. But the only winner could be Perez
Perez might not be as good as ham
Mercedes may have invited in more trouble than it's worth
Mercedes might not give Hamilton the car he wants.

EJ was righr

You are the one baiting him, he said he has no problems with Lewis replacing MS, yet you decide he is lying just to argue with him, everyone can see this Skeeter so stop blaming others for your own actions.
