Hardest PC Games Ever

From all those who have branded the games on the list "not hard", it would be interesting to hear what games you consider to be hard.

I thought Homeworld was hard, couldn't get used to using 360 degree camera on both axis with an RTS game.

Rather than doing so and just blanketly saying they're not hard i will go so far as to say i think that a lot of what they say is a bit lacking in substance.

GTA isnt particularly hard, thats one of its appeals as its easy to pick up and put down. Not entirely sure where the writer was coming from there though i will admit bad luck with traffic can effect driving missions.

System Shock 2 wasnt overly tough really, it was just scary :)

Homeworld 1, personally i found to be much harder than 2.

Far Cry - Wasnt easy but not that tough.

Guess its all down to personal playstyle really, i breeze games soemtimes my friends struggle with and vice versa so i wont condemn the writer of the article, but i can still wonder as to quite how he struggles on certain games based on my own experience ;)

I agree with most of the other posts.. gta is just tedious and time consuming not difficult imo.. completed it in about 3 weeks 100% (wasnt playing it hardcore). far cry was difficult.. that took me a while.. about a month (was playing it on a daily basis but sometimes not for very long)

i remember when i got gta:vc on my ps2. done 100% in about 5 days xD played it LOADS straight after school and over the weekend. still one of my favourite games of all time.

cant really comment on any of the other games never played them

Loved AvP, and completed it a couple of times. Multiplayer was also ace (or was that AvP2?). Running around with the chaingun thing as a marine desperatly trying not to get backed into a corner :P

I played regular Syndicate and found that one to be tough enough at times - then a friend told me about panic mode :)

Far Cry was easy as far as I am concerned.

What about the really hard games? Z had me in tears at the end of it :p

out of the list I have played and completed

GTA: SA - I thought some missions were challenging but overall I wouldn't say it was one of the hardest games ever. I found GTA 3 and vice City harder

System shock 2 - I LOVED this game, I found it challenging in places and SUPERB fun but again I wouldn't say it was frustratingly hard or anything - its one of my all time fav games!

Final Doom was quite hard in some places I suppose, but again I wouldn't say it was one of the 10 hardest pc games

Surprised Operation Flashpoint wasn't on the list.

It might of been I lacked the patience to crawl on stomach for 30 mins to avoid detection, but getting single shot killed by some dot on the horizon wasn't my idea of a enjoyable game.

I thought far cry was too hard especially when the "easy" setting is not very easy. I enjoy more the exploration etc than pixel perfect shooting/dodging etc. I only get to finish games like that if its the only game i play at the time

Yeah the last few levels of Far Cry were rubbish, they made a right mess of the ending of an otherwise beautiful game.

It was deadly though, added to the tension.

Project IGI was quite easy i thought lol.. but then AVP wasnt all that hard either.. but i dont think ive played a stupidly hard FPS.. ( i did used to play a lot of Q2 death match and CS tho) probs helped with my quick aim etc..

i find racing games on the PC that are sim like really really hard LFS is one.. i just cant get the feel for the cars.. im too used to driving in the real world lol..

The monkey islands were hard.. but i was only like 9 or something when i started them lol

The E&E mission half way through the first campain. That monster took me ages to complete.

I did enjoy the freedom of the last level however, hike a few miles out, nick the Hind, drive over and snipe, mines etc.

OPF: Resistance was insane.

Richard Burns Rally. I spent 4 hours trying to finally get the school stage to under 1m 20s to unlock that scooby.

Well ive completed Far cry and homeworld 2 out fo that list. homeworld 2 was an absolute ******* of a game, but was so amazing i just had to complete it.
