If only they'd joined a group of child sex trafficking millionaires. They could've stepped back from public life with the absolute minimum of fuss.
Christ you lot are making me out to be some rampant feminist when nothing could be further from the truth. Yeah I'm a feminist, we all should be.
Stopped reading right there.I think
The best outcome of all would be a situation arising where Harry becomes king and Meghan Queen Consort. Maybe then the idiots would finally realise that they have no choice in any of this. Not by law, not by vote; and as we have seen recently, not even by expressing an opposing opinion. This seems like a bullseye to me.
You do realise that you just compared the process of courting your wife to buying a dog.I never said the British Royal Family were a good example of eugenics used to create superior beings, deliberately, becuase they are not, I was talking of bloodlines and eugenics in in general. I have no belief the British Royal Family are trying to create a master race <LOL> Given most people pore over the pedigree of a puppy they are thinking of buying, yet marry their spouse without any digging into their family tree at all, eugenics in the human species is still quite niche.
My heart goes out to both of them, TBH.Courting has no part in it, assessing a potential breeding partner should have similarities to choosing a dog from its pedigree information, yes indeed! Should choosing a wife be something less considered than choosing a dog?
Maybe that line of criticism is based on the fact that paying £12 million to stave off criminal investigations is not even in the same ballpark as not blinking the way nutters expect you to blink.I don't really understand this line of criticism, Andrew has had plenty of flack from the press for rather dirtier allegations but it's almost like there's some implication that because he's worthy of criticism then that means others shouldn't be criticised?
You could do that, or you could consider your question that I was responding to; we're not comparing anyone to a nasty murderer, we're comparing Meghan to a nasty sex pest and I'm giving you my opinion on why he merits a little bit more criticism than a lady who can't cry the way the nutters expect her to cry.I mean I could cite some really nasty murderer or something and state that being a really nasty murderer isn't even in the ballpark of dishing out some dirt on Oprah or bullying allegations but people simply aren't as interested in the really nasty murderer save for perhaps at the time of the incident or the trial...
Do you not get that? The main driver here isn't the severity of what was done but the level of public interest in them. It peaked a bit for Andrew during parts of the scandal but in general, people simply aren't as interested in him as they are in Harry and Megan.
Nope, I'm having none of that nonsense. I haven't missed the point at all, you're simply attempting to create an alternative point to argue. That's completely missing the point though... I'm well aware that you weren't comparing anyone to a nasty murderer it was simply an example to illustrate the point
There's no "allowed" about it, they're royals and they do what they like. That's why the sex pest was "allowed" to participate in the national creepy coffin fetish. This thread has a most efficient title, in the unlikely event this pair are ever allowed to return to Royal duties it merely needs changing like this:
Harry and Meghan to re-sign![]()
I haven't watched the series and probably won't, but I'm always rooting for them. It's disgusting how they've been treated, and their situation exposes an arguably worse relationship that the British have with their tabloid press in general.![]()
Meghan and Harry’s documentary has hit the raw nerve of tabloid prejudice | David Olusoga
I was an interviewee in the Netflix series. The scale and fury of the backlash to the comments on race and royals is revelatorywww.theguardian.com
..they heard the voices of a young woman of colour and her husband, who have been subjected of an unprecedented campaign of abuse and vilification, telling us what that all felt like..
Changed your mind in what way?You ought to, it's actually changed my mind on the pair and how the media reacted.
There's virtually nothing in the first 3 episodes to do with the Royal Family other than all the women went through it so it's a rite of passage.
I think this sums up the issue; it was all just the "normal" way and they should just have accepted it.I think they're more than milking it. I don't doubt that some things were said, and everyone knew the old Duke was a bit of a casual racist. But I think these two have really blown things out of proportion just for a pay day.
Harry has turned into such a wet drip it's unimaginable.
I've always got that impression (see the OP). To be honest, given the history with his mum, I find it astonishing that the public can't see why he's so protective of his wife in that awful tabloid goldfish bowl.I thought she was a bitch and Harry was under the thumb - not so.
She's a really nice woman.
...We don't mind foreigners just the unelectable, unsavory, inedible...
Yep, that's how it's done... Just make up compete lies in your head and suddenly it's all been balanced out and normalised.I would imagine if his bile was similarly directed to many who the Left hold in contempt your reaction would be one of laughter and glee![]()
It's in the article: I hate her, not like I hate Nicola Sturgeon...How is he racist? prove it
You've decided to redefine the word, or you're focussing on the singular?Misogyny isn't hating a woman
