I've been watching Piers Morgan for donkeys years and he is a lot of things but not a racist.
If you're on about him vs Meghan Markle he was attacking the woman not her colour.

However for some people someone verbally attacking a woman who is black is automatically racist.

Clarkson has made a career out of being a bit of a loudmouth twit to put it politely. I would maybe suggest that he is indulging in some hyperbole because I am 99% sure that he doesn't stay awake at night thinking about her. If you have watched top gear at all when he was at the help you would know that silly hyperbole is his schtick. A car is usually either the best thing ever or he wouldn't have one if you paid him. Quite often his opinion would change from one to the other within an episode.

The woman quoting him in that tweet I have to believe isn't actually horrified. I can't believe that she finds this "terrifying misogyny and abuse" either.

Clarkson is a pillock but hes entertaining and part of that is his over the top rhetoric about things. Most people don't take these things literally.

Everything now is treated like its at the extreme ends of whatever spectrum its being marked on when most of it isn't close to being as serious as people make out. Both the initial opinion and the opinion on the opinion.
