Some families are toxic and deserved to be called out for it. It's the media's fault. If they didn't feel obliged to run a smear campaign against them, they probably wouldn't be doing what they're doing.
I'm all for it as well. People expect her to just take the abuse on her chin and sing from the same hymn sheet and she decided "Nah, I'm alright". She's a disruptor and it's brilliant.

As far as I see it, if they're not spending tax payers money and the way for them to earn a living is to stick it to the royal family? I'd be sticking and twisting a lot worse than they have done

there's an off switch on netflix why would you waste your time watching six episodes - a few excerpts are sufficient to suggest it's a poor investment of time, just say no (quote)
but given the derivative/formulaic material on netflix maybe it is the best watch, unlike the crown it does represent someones truth; well, unless netflix had the final content directorial word.

The media haven't run a smear campaign against them. They have done what the media always does and play both sides and do whatever it takes to sell column inches. There are also plenty of stories from people within the palace that Meghan was a ******* nightmare to deal with and rubbed everyone up the wrong way. Some people will obviously think thats because she was "speaking truth to power" to quote Harry. She married a guy in the British Royal Family and made out like she had no idea what she was doing and that that came with certain obligations and expectations. She clearly didn't want to do that and unsurprisingly that caused friction.

How on earth people think this is a one sided affair and herself and Harry are entirely the victims in this is beyond me. I think being a royal is a gift and a curse. No ones life is perfect or without pain and struggle. They are both just very bitter people to want to do this to people they say they love.

A disruptor of what. People will be bored of her and Harry within a few years and nothing will change. All that will have changed is that Harry will have no relationship with his family and she will have none with most of hers. I'm sure they will be very happy with all their fake celebrity friends who just use them for a little exposure though. Its all just really sad.

Harry clearly hasn't ever dealt with the death of his mother and his family probably could have done better. People deal with things how they can though. Sticking the knife in them because you decide they didn't do the right thing in hingsight and trying to ruin them is just scummy.

Take your clean break and live your life on your terms. No one has any issue with that. Trying to profit from ruining your family is beyond the pale though. Their behaviour throughout this has been appalling in my eyes and speaks volumes about them. They constantly contradict their supposed motives and morals at every turn.

They, or rather Meghan, was never given a fair chance in the media. It all goes back to the many comparisons that were made between Kate and Meghan. They did the same thing and got vastly different treatment, that's not even up for debate. It's there for everyone to see

He probably hasn't dealt with the death of his mother but if he has the feeling the media and paparazzi are to blame it's understandable to see why he feels the need to protect his family before anything similar happens to them.

And yet for every story that comes out of the palace, a palace who don't mind protecting nonces, saying something negative about her, she also has friends and family saying the opposite.

I don't really put much faith in what comes out of the royal family when they have the history they do.

So if I had I direct line to Meghan and Harry I'd tell them to keep twisting on them. It's the least that family deserves. They have privacy on their own terms now and if they want to sell their privacy to the highest bidder rather than having no say, then I say more power to them.

I have very little sympathy for the family and if anything I find the whole circus hilarious just thinking about them all stewing in their palaces cause they never thought anyone would go against them.

Meghan's background is very different from Kate's; far less privileged. Can't expect the press (especially the British press) not to point that out, she should have been more resilient about it. They must have known what was coming for them.

None of this ultimately matters so it's quite fun watching the perspective of M&H on the Netflix series.

The media loved her at the start. Harry was always the favourite of the two boys because he was more relatable and available and perhaps because he was more prone to the occasional **** up which gave them something to write about. Meghan was a pretty actress he was going to marry.

The royals are a freakshow up to a point. They are pomp and show and their lives are there to be carefully displayed to the public at various points. If you didn't want that you either leave the family or you suck it up and do your duty. The royal family isn't going to change for someone coming in from the outside and why on earth should it.

They love Kate because she doesn't put a foot wrong and knew exactly what she was getting into and embraced it.

Once they turned on Meghan and she started hitting back with her own media offensive it was only going to escalate and go in one direction.

This is part of it that makes zero sense. I was very much on their side when they wanted to leave. Thats totally fine and I could completely understand it. But they didn't want to step out of the limelight, they didn't want their privacy. They wanted complete control and the ability to sell their lives and the lives of their children themselves. Which they are gladly doing.

I don't remember many stories coming out of the palace about her either...until she started going on the offensive. Then the stories started coming out from staff saying that her version was complete BS. Who knows who is telling the truth?

And Harry and Meghan have a good history of being honest right? Despite a huge number of their claims being demonstrably subjective at best and quite often straight up lies. The palace hasn't responded to half the stuff they have said. Its been very very one sided when it comes to accusations from the palace vs accusations from them. The media are not the palace. They have no doubt leaked things. They have also no doubt had staff talking to journalists without the palaces permission. Thats not the same though.

I think you are probably giving this more weight than it should have. The people he is hurting are his family. People, not a faceless corporation, his family. As I said before, they will come out of this far worse than the royals in the end. They will fade into obscurity and that will hurt them because they clearly thrive on all this attention and people fawning over them.
