More regarding the disproportion, I don't hate her. I just write a lot more negative stories about her than the prince who had to pay a woman £12m to stop being called a nonce.

It's beggars belief that she's portrayed as more damaging than ******* Andrew!?
They're both damaging, just how damaging they are isn't necessarily based on the severity of say befriending a peado and allegedly having sex with a girl he'd groomed vs being a bit of a diva and not playing ball re: the working Royal thing then just quitting the whole thing along with Harry and moving to the US.
Andrew has done plenty of damage, most of it to himself though and as a result he's no longer a working Royal and has to stay out of the limelight, it's not like Charles is personally implicated in any of it or muddied too much by it and so long as they keep him out of sight then it stays that way. They're actively courting publicity, selling media products to millions of viewers most of which are directly damaging other members of the Royal family, for example, one of them is a massive racist based on some apparent comment about the Baby's skin colour but we're not sure who; maybe Charles, maybe Camilla, maybe William etc..
Whether or not that is an issue I guess depends on your views of the Royals to some extent, I'm a bit ambivalent towards them though I think (currently) they're overall a good thing to have (even if the current generation has been a **** show), I had hoped William and Harry's generation would be a significant improvement but Meghan and Harry seem to have scuppered that. If the Royals stop being useful internationally as diplomats or in terms of projecting soft power or public opinion turns too far against them then they're out, we go to a Republic and that isn't an easy thing to reverse, we collectively lose something that has value to us.
Ostensibly it is ridiculous that there are some people just in a position like that by birthright Charles and William are essentially both billionaires now (albeit heavily restricted ones with significant duties), as part of that they need to be non-political, they need to play the game and do the diplomatic thing as briefed by the government of the day etc..
Harry is a bit of a brat and he's pretty thick too, the impression from the interviews is that Meghan didn't get much in the way of guidance from him at all, she only finds out she has to courtesy just before she's about to meet the queen then has an ad hoc lesson. Then she finds out the expectations of her as a working Royal, full calendar of unglamorous visits to community centres, schools, charities etc.. turn up for local press, meet and greet the Mayor + the head honchos of the organisations and go shake hands with the plebs.
I'm sure living in California could be seen as a better lifestyle (albeit without the status) but the problem is they don't just want to live in California, they could have got a nice house and faded from view, kept cordial relations with the family, their cottage at Kensington Palace was just over 1000sq ft, their cottage at Windsor Castle was turned into a 5 bedroom home, they could have a 5 bedroom home near LA quite easily, instead, they want the Mansion, they want to keep the status, they're not happy even at being told to stop using the HRH.
Harry and Meghan are actively undermining the very thing that allows them to sign the huge deals they have done, I know a real-life Prince from a country that no longer has a Royal Family, he has a very ordinary lifestyle but only a few generations ago his family lived in palaces and were incredibly wealthy. Being a Prince alone isn't that interesting, maybe a curiosity in some glossy magazines or social pages etc. Harry and Meghan's income is reliant on there still being a monarchy in the UK that people are curious about, Americans are super interested in it and them having a big public spat with it is a huge draw for viewers but in doing so they're adding risk to the whole institution and that's something William and Charles are going to be very sensitive to but Harry is perhaps too dumb or too selfish to care about.
