Haswell -E Core i7-5960X, 5930K, 5820K specifications

I wonder whats the price going to be for 5930.
500ish on launch?
Motherboard another 500, ram another 250+.
Sigh :-)

Yup gonna be pricey, I'm most likely gonna get 5820K plus 8GB possibly 16GB DDR4 just to get on the platform. Then when Broadwell -E drops next year move up to the higher end chips, which by then on new die shrink should be better at overclocking / use less power. Also by that time faster and cheaper DDR4 should be available to replace mine with and move up to 32GB.

Must have X99, even if have to sell a kidney !

Hopefully by the time I am ready to buy the hardware for my new X99 system, which should
be around december or january I should have enough money up, there will be a decent
amount of quality motherboards and memory available to choose from to buy.

Looks like I'm going to have to enjoy X99 vicariously though you guys posts on here :p

Holiday in summer is gonna cost a lot..

Dream setup would be, 5960X, 390X Or Nvidia alternative, 32GB DDR4, X99.

Think it will have to remain a dream as well :D

Is it gonna be worth upgrading to X99? I mean the cost is gonna be pretty high considering you're gonna need to buy new DDR4 Memory which from what I heard is gonna cost you an arm and a leg. Whats the average upgrade cost gonna be, just a guestimate?

£300 for 5930K?
£150+ for board?
£xxx for Memory?
Cooler compatibility? Will 1155, 1150 etc fit on the new boards?

I wanna upgrade and wanna know the projected costs so I know how much to save lol.

I would absolutely love to upgrade from the point of view of getting a 4K monitor and going crossfire again at the start of 2015 so might as well get the platform in place before the end of 2014.

will probably make the jump if the 5820k is about £300-£330, motherboard for ~£150 and hopefully no more than £150-£175 for some DDR4.

Probably waaay off with the pricing of DDR4 though...
