Haswell -E Core i7-5960X, 5930K, 5820K specifications

The embargo date on the leaked slides was 5PM GMT today so I'm not expecting anything before then. Some sites already have them listed for sale though so it could be anytime now.

So I just ordered:

Crucial Ballistix Sport 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 PC4-19200C16 2400MHz Quad Channel Kit
And
Asus X99-Deluxe Intel X99 (Socket 2011) DDR4 ATX Motherboard

In preperation....

BUT!

Should I cancel the order and get the ASUS X99 Rampage Extreme? Will it be better?

I would assume the extreme will overclock better etc BUT the deluxe will be a great mobo also,

Last year the 4960X 6/12 core/thread with 15mb cache and support for DDR3 was £750
This year the 5820K 6/12 core/thread with 15mb cache and support for DDR4 is £280

Finally feels like progress has been made at the high end ! We lost some PCI lanes, but honestly who cares when your saving near £500 :P

I want a 5820K lol.
