Pretty standard for Windows

Always thought that was the OS footprint in memory but could be wrong

Im back up and running with my i5 /Win8 , Im going to talk to OC in the morning.

Not sure what Im going to do to be honest

I'm going to be DSRing this UD4 and grabbing a SOC instead i think.

Cheers FrankJH, yeah I just wandered why some ram wasn't available. If uksoliderboy's is the same then it's all good.

I'm going to persevere with this mobo. Gigabyte will get there with the bios updates, and I only paid £150 for it :p Whole setup was a bargain imho.

Still installed in the red slots, but they now have one stick from each set together.

When i had set 1 together in slots A1 B1 and set 2 in C1 D1 they didn't work, so now moved one from each over and working fine :)

Glad you got it sorted, if you right click 'my computer' does it show 16.0 GB (15.8 GB usable)?

Mine's now running happy along at 4.5 @1.320, but memory is at default (2133), would be nice to run it higher but it's still early days.

I have decided to swap this UD4 out for the SOC though and rehome the system is a white Luxe.

Same here mate, default 2133 gives stability. Future bios updates should make higher memory speeds more stable.

I'm at 4.0Ghz + 2133 for 24/7 use.

Another thing i've noticed is that my max overclock on my 290X has dropped an awful lot.

from 1270-1280 to around 1200:confused: even with the Blck @100.

That's weird. Wander if the power delivery with the new mobo setup is somehow different. Maybe could effect the max overclock?

My 780Ti max clocks have gone up with this setup. Can finally break 16000 in 3D Mark 11, not sure why it sees my 5820K as a 5960X? If only the Ti's could be voltage unlocked.. It would fly..

I have the same bloody low physics bug with AMD and benchmarks, it's an issue with powerplay, only way to kinda of fix it is enable "without powerplay support in AB.

Only that crashes the system now, at this rate i'll be going green soon.

Could be good timing grab yourself a GTX 980.

Broomstick - Can you add voltages as well, would be helpful for expectations.

Broomstick? No worries Tossi~ :p

If people can post their max stable overclock with what voltage and if it's set or adjustable. That would be good.

Show me yours, stock etc and a few loops into super Pi.

Will do at some point, I'm using my PC atm.

Plus it's running spot on @ 4.0Ghz for 24/7 don't want to risk unleashing the never-ending cycle of booting straight to Windows, and having to furiously press del to try and get back into the bios :D

Stock is 3.5 :)

I'm a little worried about overclocking it more, i currently have 3 290's, board,cpu, 3 SSD's, 12 fans, 1 drive from a 1000W PSU, think i'm pushing my luck tbh! :(

Yeah I def agree with that beast setup, leave CPU at stock.. Maybe switch over to 3 x GTX 980's? That could bring down the power usage massively, then you could clock the nuts of your CPU :D
