This F11B Bios for my UD4 seems a little buggy, keep getting failed to boot messages and it now seems that since flashing to it, windows thinks I've changed my hardware and i need to activate it again.

Restoring to defaults settings seems to cure it, this 4.6 overclock is solid in games and benchmarks though, not had one crash :( what can be done to help in pass POST guys?

You may find that the new bios more than likely needs slightly modifying your voltages for the same previous stable overclock - try raising v core a notch etc and see if you can get it stable. Re check your other bios settings etc, and put them back to where they should be. Have you checked memory timings since the bios flash or use xmp. Are you getting any boot codes on failure to boot with your settings?

Cheers Mark,

Previously my overclock was solid at 1.32, i've tried up to 1.35 but i still get this "boot failure detected" message, it's strange, have no problems in windows, games or benchmarks, just seems to be on boot.

My memory doesn't have an XMP profile so it's just running at it's default speeds of 2400.

I have been having a boot & shutdown failure with the same Teamgroup Elite ram & mine do not have XMP either, The only way I get stable is to reduce the ram speed to 2133Mhz.

Which is why I arranged an RMA for mine & the fact that the ram is supposed to have an XMP profile.

Lack of XMP programming is definitely a reason to RMA the RAM. All TeamGroup memory should have it. If you weren't too bothered by it though you could always find out the timings from someone with the RAM

Cheers Wilson,

Does your new ram have an XMP Profile?

This i didn't know, I thought because it was "cheaper" DDR4 ram, it did without XMP Profiles:eek:

Only issue is the packaging that the ram came in was extremely difficult to open and keep intact, i failed in doing this, does this affect anything?

What is considered a safe level for 24x7, and then maybe something more for bench run with tighter timings? Hope this makes sense.

There hasn't been enough growth for anyone to safely say but I would keep it under 1.4v for long term. Try not to go too mad on timings, most end user timings are wrong. Let the board do most of the work and try for T1 first

Thanks for that - I am currently running T1 at stock ram speeds though as far as timings go on 1.35v. just not sure how to go on tuning the 4 main timings let alone 2nds and thirds. Any advice would be useful. I have to admit I have never before bothered with ram tuning only cpu.
