Hello,

I just need other peoples opinions on what happened yesterday, would be nice to get a female perspective also.

So, I'm at the petrol station yesterday, pulled up and started unlocking the petrol cap, another car pulled up the other side of the pump I was using and as you do I had a look who was driving. Turns out it was a really nice looking girl she saw me looking and I though nothing of it.

I was filling my car and she came up to me and said her car needs unleaded petrol and she didn’t know which pump to use, bear in mind there was only two pumps diesel and unleaded both clearly labelled you couldn’t really get it wrong, she was smiling and I politely told her it was the green one she needed.

I then went to pay and as I was walking back to my car I passed her she was smiling at me again so I smiled back and got in my car and drove off.

On the way back home I was thinking about it and basically what I’m asking is was I in the position to ask her out for a drink or am I reading into the situation to deeply.

I'm pretty shy about asking girls out so what do you think, I am really regretting it now... :(

Should have said 'Come back to my house and I'll fill your tank up with my 5 star darling.'

On a serious note though, it probably seems obvious looking back now but we've all been in a position like that and let it slip :o .

I am always getting looks of women when i walk down the street, at the gym etc... and i'm still single.

Dont worrt about it, if you didnt take the chance then forget about it, my motd is always go for it because you regret it a few years down the line, ie was with a girl for a year and could have cheated on her a few times even with her best friends but i didnt, lesson when your young cheat as you never know how long it will last.

Idiot, I clearly would have bent her over the bonnet and made love to her with my keyboard like no man has ever done before.

Am I the only person thinking she could just be being polite?

Or do you lot think every female who smiles at you wants you to take her home?

I wouldn't go as far as calling yourself an idiot...

Don't have regrets about it, just know what to do next time :)

lets be fair... i think most of us would have bottled out in that position.

Probably. I can count one time when I missed blatant signs, one time that I felt nervous and deliberately went away, and another where I noticed all the signs, and was feeling confident enough to reciprocate them... it's all a game.

so true, i remember a few of mine (only because mates told me straight after mostly).
thats life.

Haha it doesn't get more blatent than that. If you didn't see an oppurtunity like that you probably miss so many more subtle oppurtunities. That girl was practically offering herself to you :D

Oh well i do feel gutted but next time I'll have to just go for it,

Thanks for the replies

Still would be nice to see what the ladies think.
