Buying the 5090 would probably do me another 10 years but should I do it?
What are you expecting it to cost? Because people are saying £2200
You can build a solid 4k system for 2200 never mind just a GPU

My 480 almost lasted me 8 years and it didn't cost £2000.
He doesn't need to spend that much.
No, waste of money. Sounds like a 5070/Ti would do you a fair while (as long as you were updating the rest of the system too).
I've inherited 115k
Genuine advice, no don't do it. A house + £115k is very nice, and nothing to be sniffed at, but if you view it as 'money to burn' then you won't make the most of it and will get through it very quickly.
Be sensible - invest it, save it, and spend in moderation on things that you'll actually get use out of. You'll actually appreciate it more this way too.
better things to spend it on than a £2000 gpu once the money is burnt its gone for everI have money to burn due to inheritance
Yes. And post screenshots.Buying the 5090 would probably do me another 10 years but should I do it?
I would stick that into a BTL
Had my mate round for a curry last night and we stuck this on. So funny. We then found out there are like 14 different film versions of Brewsters Millions and theres a sequel - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt31955992/Love that film. Might have to be one to watch over the holidays.
I haven't had a new system for near a decade and have been chomping at the bit to buy since July. I only have a 34 inch 60hz monitor and only a light casual gamer. Buying the 5090 would probably do me another 10 years but should I do it?
That's expensive sandwich
