Have you swapped your MSI 7950?

That depends on a few factors:

1. What is your current spec?
2. What games do you play/intend on playing?
3. Do you plan on further upgrades in a short time?
4. Could you wait for the next gen of cards?
5. What is your budget?

1. In my signature
2. Depends what intrests me
3. Not really
4. How long?
5. 250 is the max.

I had the msi twin frozr III 7950 but it was faulty so send it back and now need to buy another card since now Im using GTS 250 1gb 775/1050

I would :). Unless you're gonna run massive overclocks because I don't believe they have proper VRM cooling. I'd imagine upto 1150/1200 is fine. ;)

I`m really tempted by HIS but its only 1 fan and probably loud...
I game on 1920x1080 so that card is a bit of overkill but as I said its a futureproof.

The HIS IceQ is actually one of the quieter 7950s. I'm sure after reading your posts where you've posted you must have picked up on the multiple threads/posts regarding this.

The thing is that my aim in my build was quietness and Iv reached that.
If I dont choose a quiet card its not going to make a bigger sense.
The HIS looks good on reviews but is it really as quiet as gigabyte or MSI?

Have not had much time to test but I've got MSI 7950 idle temp 30 volts 1042mv Power limit 20% CPU at 1000mhz and Memory at 1400Mhz had half hour on BF3 Max temp went to is 68 max fan speed went to is 49%

Not impressive but better than mine.

Can't believe that new tf3s are popping up as the days go by and nothing is changing ...

Even reading the last 4 reviews left by customers on the stores site mentions high temps. These faulty batch have really put people off from buying msi ever again from what I'm reading.

I'm just scratching my head why mine is so fine and many others aren't

Its like a lottery, you are very lucky.
So many people got faulty card...

That's definitely too hot, especially at stock. RMA that bad boy.

It's a shame, because people that have 100% good versions of this card are having great temps etc, and it's a sexy looking card too.

Mort, my card runs at 78C at about 67% fans with 1100/1350 @ 1.112V. That's after about 2 loops of Heaven 3.0, although it usually gets there playing other games too. Furmark etc push it a lot higher, so I don't use that to test.

Devrij, is right I had similiar temps to him, but got my cash back under 14 day gurrante and thats what. I would do on your place.
Nice to know that my thread is helping people :D
