**HAZRO HZ27WA & HZ27WC ARRIVING SOON INCLUDING NONE-GLASS VERSIONS!**

my HZ27C Thoughts.

Would like to say got my monitor today glass version.
crossfire 6950 flashed can see bios and post screen.
totaly blown away with this monitor.
i used to own the imac 27 and can honestly say this screen is the same.
i have a tiny spec of dust the size of a pin head but cant see it unless my eyes up to screen. normal use cant see it. best £400 i have ever spent on a monitor. well done Hazro and thx overclockers for next day delivery.
i dont have a window behind me so i get no reflections @ all. perfect.

Going from the pics, I would gop for the glass version again. (yes got a glass WC at the mo).

On the 1st day reflections did bother me, but not after that, but I mainly use it at night.

I know someone will say im wrong, but I think the glass adds a bit of gliter that makes my head think its more shiny or something.. bit like the effect you get after you have cleaned your mirror.
(but haven't got a non-glass to compare, so could be talking bull)

It probably just makes it seem more reflective. A sheet of glass infront shouldn't ultimately do anything for the quality. The only thing it will do is reduce the brightness slightly, and depending how far infront the glass is from the panel then it can lead to internal reflections, though as long as the glass is close (nearly touching) the panel it should be ok.

I haven't actually compared the two versions, but I think I made the right choice in going for the non-glass model.

Even without the glass the screen's still glossy, and with a fairly well lit room I can easily see myself reflected in dark areas of the screen. Tweaking the angle of the screen and room lighting makes it perfectly acceptable, but I wouldn't want reflections to be any worse.

does anyone with the glass version get any of these reflections as it was one thing worrying me to get the glass version ?

No, just think of a nice shiny car. Glass gives you more reflection but less scatter. This means that in the absence of reflections, blacks are deeper. If you put a glass and AG monitor side by side, turned off, the glass one will look shiny black and the AG one will look dark matt grey.

The reason I went for the glass version in the end was after reading some of the Hazro posts I got the impression that it hurt Hazro to have to supply the glassless one in response to concerns about dust issues. I think they were proud of their shiny glass monitor and I can see why.

I can see that a glass version would look impressive, but the glass actually doesn't add anything and appears to me more of a marketing tool IMO. All you are actually doing is putting an additional barrier between your eyes and the screen. I can't understand the logic behind it given the reflective increase and transmission decrease involved.

I don't understand the logic, or physics, of it either. I just know it looks great. It would be intersting to see the glass and glassless versions side by side. Most people seem happy with whichever one they have, except maybe the person adding an AG film.

thats why it doesnt make it easier to choose...

Can owners of those new Hazro monitors , post more pictures of them please !!!
I need to make my mind by tomorrow 4PM so I can get one delivered on thursday :)

Well I went for the glass one because I thought it would just make it look much nicer asthetically. There is a lot of reflection because I have a window behind me but it doesn't bother me at all. I do think the glossiness somehow makes the picture quality just feel so much sharper and nicer. Really loving it other than some possibly graphics card related issues.

any chance of posting some photos of your screen ?? pretty please :)

Non-glass version here, no reflections for me no matter the scenario which I'm pleased with, and due to there being no glass I can dust the screen ;)

Monitors with good quality glass actually add to the vibrancy of the picture, although from what I've read the glass is too far away on the Hazro monitors to actually make a difference.

Really? I deal with optical grade glass and plastic every single day and i can think of no reason why glass placed in front of a screen can make any different at all.

I can however think of three reason as to why it could and would make the image quality worse however.

A plain old piece of uncoated glass simply cannot make any difference. I'm not talking subjectively here, the facts of what glass does even say it won't help.

Thinking of getting the HZ27WC for use with a 09 MacBook Pro and its x2 more expensive and 3 inches bigger than I was hoping for but I can't seem to find anything else that matches the Apple LED Cinema displays for image quality and vivdness. Are all IPS screens as bright and crisp as the Apple LED Cinema display? As I've only ever seen that disply in use and stores don't seem to have other IPS screens for customers to look at. Or is it just the glossy ones which so far only seem to come from Hazro. My original choice was going to be a Dell UltraSharp U2311H but worried the image quality wouldnt be as vivd with it not being glossy and that they use anti-glare/reflective coating. So if I want similar image quality to that of the Apple LED Cinema display my only option is to up the display size and double my spend to get a Hazro HZ27WC? Is it a great monitor to recommend to me considering I didn't really wan't to pay this price but will do if it means I get Apple LED Cinema display quality?

maybe its only me but I think that Apple screens are by default set too bright and colours are a bit over saturated.
you can change it but not many people do..

and if I would have too much money in my pocket I would go for apple "27 as it looks nice ;)
