**HAZRO HZ27WA & HZ27WC ARRIVING SOON INCLUDING NONE-GLASS VERSIONS!**

any of you guys have dead/bright pixels? just powered mine up today and found a defective pixel... does hazro have a policy on this? its gonna bug me hard! :(

Only problem I have is when I boot my PC there is no DOS bootup screen and I can't see my motherboard BIOS setup screen.
Also when booting Windows7 there is no display until the login screen.

This is a known issue and I suspect Hazro don't care. I've asked them about it and I've had the engineers are investigating crap. That's all well and good but unless it can be fixed by me by a firmware update (unlikely) then it's a fault in my eyes.

Fantastic monitor in every respect other than it being useless to try and sort a PC that won't boot correctly... and my PC has some fault and the monitor issue isn't helping me find the fault.

Is this related to your GPU or does it happen to everyone?

This happens to mine as well (glass version) although when I boot my PC up it loops a reboot until I unplug it from the GFX card, then it boots up fine and I can connect the monitor and it works perfect.

No BIOS and no monitor plugged in on reboots sucks, I have my old spare monitor and its fine so its defo the monitor.

I have been trying to get in contact with Hazro but they don't reply to email.

I am awaiting some firmware upgrade, if it don't happen in a few weeks i'll be contacting them by phone to find out whats going on, the monitor is fantastic though when working

I'm using an old 1156 mobo (so no onboard graphics), but it won't work through my 5850. It's not exclusive for any card but seems to be another issue related to the cheaper model.

If I bought the HZ27WC I'd get it tomorrow yep?

I'm actually more interested in it now than I was initially even though it has far fewer connectivity options than my HZ24Wi and an inferior casing (Plastic vs my Wi's all aluminium) I'm willing to sacrifice for the added size and resolution although I am confident the picture quality will be as good as or maybe even better than my Wi.

I understand this has 100x100 VESA holes at the back so I won't need to have a separate VESA adapter like I used to with the HZ24Wi which Hazro sent me back in the day. It will be sitting on an Ergotron MX arm btw so expect pictures if everything goes according to plan :p

I also need confirmation on backlight bleed, if it's as visible as the pics posted here then this is unacceptable. My Wi has no such bleed of that kind, just the IPS "tinge" on blacks which is no problem.

We've been looking into reports where the BIOS isn't visible and have been in contact with MSI and AMD USA who have stated that a f/w fix from them will be made available. From experience, they tend to take forever as they have backlogs of fixes/update requests from numerous OEMs but we are on their case. The problems are mainly due to these displays being Dual-Link [MB and GPU interaction isn't as streamlined as it is with Single Link]. Here are our results:

hmmm so if I have 2x5770, I would not be able to see BIOS ??? is that correct ?
managed to get some cash and now am seriously considering new screen.
am thinking about WC version without glass ( have window at my back (2-3 m distance ) and would be annoyed with too many reflections...

and can someone fill me in in dead pixels policy ?
if mine would come with one, would I be able to return it ? I could always use DSR ?

as I have calibrating device, I wouldnt need osd as well...

Pixel warranty might as well not exist, DSR is the only option.

Great screen though and highly recommended, the only issue right now is that I can't see anything until I'm in Windows which does cause issues.

I have a GTX 260 and though it does not detect the card correctly, it does show the bios.

I don't have the Dell U2711 for comparison, but I do have the U3008 at work and I can tell you it looks bland in comparison with my glass Hazro. Images on the Hazro just look more alive, there's no other way to describe it. Reflections don't bother me for surfing and writing with a window behind me and I only ever have time for games or movies late at night anyway.

am thorne between glass and non glass :)
I think glass looks nicer, but not sure about reflections while editing photos....
most of the times curtains in the room are closed but as they are white, there is always some light coming through them.
but never had a problem with them and mine dell 2407 but there is no glass on it and screen is not gloss ...
need to make a decision so I can get one to be delivered on thursday :)

I've used my glass one for photo editing and it has not been a problem. I probably just shift my point of view without thinking if a reflection covers something critical. With the window behind me, it does mean that my own silouetted reflection is in the centre of the screen, which is where I'm looking most of the time, thus blocking the window reflection.
