**HAZRO HZ27WA & HZ27WC ARRIVING SOON INCLUDING NONE-GLASS VERSIONS!**

Bought the non-glass C version and it is an outstanding monitor for the price, going from a Dell 2407 the difference is just like I had cataracts removed. The details and colours in games are breathtaking and the text is very clear. There is some backlight bleed but in cannot be seen in games and lack of OSD could be a problem for some. This might be my imagination but i think i can see an improvement in input lag over my old Dell 2407 in BFBC2,has anybody else noticed this?
Overall this monitor delivers the goods for gamers and at the price its a fantastic bargain, my advice is go for the non glass as I am very happy with it.

So before I go and buy one of these I had another question, I know the hz27wc has problems with being detected properly by the graphics card but, still will display the proper native resolution. If you were to play a game and set the resolution in game to lower then the native resolution of the monitor or the game didn't support a resolution that high will the monitor still work properly? Also I know some AMD/ATI graphics cards have problems with displaying bios is this something that is also a problem on nvidia cards also?

The C version does support lower resolutions, though I cannot confirm exactly which ones. 4:3 resolutions will be displayed with bars down the sides, i.e., they will not be stretched. I can confirm that it runs 720P OK (1280 X 720) which is at exactly half the resolution and thus scales well.

i have the dell 2407 (coming up to 4 years)and ordered the non glass C version of this lovely thing last night

the dell is going to my sister for a few £ so im getting a nice upgrade for not many of my own pennies.

suspect ill be looking for a gpu when ever the ati/nvidia 28nm chips start rolling. using 5850 overclocked atm, ill be happy with 2x aa and a couple of drooped quality settings though. for me though smooth fps and vsync are critical. another bonus of the lower input lag i hope

should be a good day tomorrow! dispatch and tracking are with DPD

that res is half in both horizontal and vertical so 1/4 the total number of pixels, 900,000 vs 3,600,000

its still a good res to use though with the screen lacking a proper scaler. make sure to use high aa levels though, 8x or better i would think.

also is gpu scaling any good on ati, eg. can it render a game at 1080 and display at 1440p?

I haven't had any issues with ATI GPU scaling. It gives you the choice of stretching the image to fit the screen or maintaining aspect ratio, with the image centred and black bars on each side.

I've tried some old 640x480 and 800x600 games, along with more modern titles in a variety of 16:10/16:9 resolutions, and they've all worked as expected.

Hiya,

I'm thinking of buying the glass version but just wondering how it compares reflection wise to the apple cinema display?

Any help would be appreciated.

Most dells have a minimum 2 frames of input lag and usually 3 sometimes even 4 which isn't great at all so it would have to be a pretty shocking monitor to be worse.

I got the glass version, it looks exactly like the App Cinema display, even the reflections.

PS: Love my 27WC. :D

I am torn between going glass or non-glass.
Is the non-glass version simply a unit with the glass not installed, with no other aesthetic differences at all? Not found a pic of both monitors side by side for comparison...:(

I've been in contact with Hazro who have stated the dust problem was limited to the first batches sent to OcUK, and that newer builds don't have the problem due to them now using a Class 1 clean room.

With this in mind, I still can't choose! Any help before I pull the trigger appreciated :) It's on This Week Only too!

I can say the none glass version is great, I haven't seen a glass version but I can't see why you'd need it other than just for aesthetic reasons. If you do go none glass you won't be disappointed ;)

arrrgghhhh missed the "this week only" offer....said it would stop on the 6th...its still the 6th !!!

Was going to buy today since today is when my credit card rolls over into another month....

Stolly - Was the WC version on this week only, last week? I only discovered these monitors yesterday and didn't think to look on the this week only page. At the moment the WA is less than £100 more than the WC, though it appears the WC was a fair bit cheaper previously! Having held back from ordering before todays cutoff, I've found that a lot of people here tend to get the WC as the input lag is a lot lower than it is on the WA. I prefer the WA at the moment as it has other inputs like my Dell 2405...

Yep it was the WC...can't remember how much cheaper it was to be honest, around £20 ?
