**HAZRO HZ27WA & HZ27WC ARRIVING SOON INCLUDING NONE-GLASS VERSIONS!**

All those inputs = worse response time. no thanks. Id rather have a dvi-d connection and thats it

The 10bit screens dont actually display 10 bit anyway do they? (They only support it in the future or something)

It uses A-FRC to do 10bit, abit like how 6bit TN's manage to do 8bit colour. It's always active AFAIK, but i don't think it makes any difference.

I don't believe any of them will be able to take 10bit inputs now or ever and the panel used is 8bit, not 10bit.

can anyone here who owns the WA or WC take a picture of it displaying a picture at 1080p so i can see what they scale like please as if WC can do it fine ill save my self a £100 if not ill have to be quick and get the WA before there are no more :(

A WC can't scale at all internally. I don't have any pictures but i've noticed no scaling issues quality wise on my WA. As good as my Dell was and as good as i'd expect given it's not native of course.

could you take a picture of it displaying a 1080 image if thats okay petty please :D

as i want the monitor to be able to run my games at 1080p if i have not got enough grunt at 1440p

i know the WC cant scale it but it should still display and image shouldnt it ? all be it slightly blurry

DarkBahamut how do you find the WA for gaming . Any ghosting/ input lag that is noticeable ?

Tks

You only need a scaler if you don't have a graphics card doing it for you! For example, if you are connecting it to a games console or bluray player, which you can't really do anyway. If it's connected to your computer, and you want to play a game at 1080p, the graphics card will scale it for you, you will not notice a difference between the WC and WA versions in this respect. Infact, it'd be better using the WC as you then you'll have a lower input lag.

1080p games, films etc look brilliant on the WC.

The only reason you should be considering the WA version really is if you want to connect anything other than your PC to it or think you may want to do so in the future.

HTH.

that intresting to know as it will only ever be connected to my pc have got a WC ?

as this is why i would like to know this question as i thought with it being about twice as many pixels as 1080 it would just double up the pixel count but i would rather be safe than sorry i would perfer the WC as its 100 less and less input lag

buttt what if it doesnt scale properly as i've heard there is problems with HDCP compatability on the WC with nvida card but not the WA

any help with this would be great as iam looking to order tomorrow night

I was planning on buying the Dell U3011, but seeing the HZ27WD with all those inputs.. I'm tempted by that now... (I'll be connecting all my consoles to the monitor).
I'd have gone for the Dell already if I wasn't so unsure about the anti-glare..

If I were you, I'd wait until someone from here has bought one and commented on it, I'm waiting myself. :)

But yeah, Dell/LG anti glare sucks.

Just had this reply. Looks like Dell, Apple and Hazro use LG Panels

The Apple and Hazro use LG LM270WQ1 which is a White LED 8-bit glare (glossy) panel. The Dell uses LG LM270WQ2 which is a wide gamut CCFL 8-bit + A-FRC panel with anti-glare finish. The WQ1 is known to be made in China while the WQ2 is known to be produced in South Korea.

LG panels are decent, but it's the AG coating that ****s it up royally. Good thing Hazro don't use it.

i've desided to go for the WC as i can use the nvida scalers to give a clear 1080p image over my dual link dvi

can any one correct me otherwise please :)

Can you give us updates when you get it? What kind of stand it uses and using the lagom black level test? (0-255) and telling us if you can see all the squares properly?

Thanks.

Well, they apparently are using the new power supplies, and bundling them with the stronger stands.

However, I'm also hoping they secretly fixed the problems we've been complaining about in this thread (will be seriously ****ed off if not, I really want another one of these)

that sounds good news to me well iam 100% on a WC with glass as i've just sold 2 of my benq's from my eyeinfinty and gonna keep the 3rd just incase 1080 dont scale correctly

I see a good few people moving away from eyeinfinity setups recently . Not all its cracked up to be ? I was considering it myself but the bezels would annoy the crap out of me .
