Hazro series - HZ30Wi, HZ30WiQ, HZ27WA, HZ27WB & HZ27WC

It's too bright on the lowest brightness setting? When I had the WC I found the 2nd and 3rd brightnesses were the best for me. I have the WD model now and the brightness is at around 40%

I wouldn't recommend the TFT Central profile as they reviewed a non pre-calibrated screen. You shouldn't need one for your monitor now. :)

Can you switch back between the factory calibrated settings and others?

and it's only really too bright when on a white screen.

You did get the WC model right? If so there's no calibrating at all for you to do as there's no OSD. My WC looked awesome out of the box... actually I've struggled to get my WD model to look as vibrant.

Are you sure you've got the backlight at the lowest setting btw? That was way too dim for me! :S

I believe the Hazro HZ27WC sits at around 100 cd/m2 on the lowest OSD brightness setting. Maybe it varies a little between units but this shouldn't really be too bright unless you are working in a room with no ambient lighting and/or are particularly sensitive to this. Ideally you would be able to set it lower, perhaps 60 or 80 cd/m2 but generally that would be too dim.

It's definately on the lowest setting. The brightness seems fine in games and everywhere else. It's just when I'm on a white page like google or something and it's really blinding. But hey I shouldn't complain I've got 0 dead pixels or bleeding. Everything is great. The only thing I can really complain about is that when I opened the box the bit of plastic where the hazro branding is had popped out and was just hanging off. But it popped straight back in no problem.

Also for some reason Starcraft2 doesn't want to scale up to my new res... It shows as 1440 but it looks exactly the same on 1080.

Just tried out bf3 and mw3... sweet jesus this is insane. This actually makes mw3 look good. and bf3.... /jizz. I'm going to need to upgrade my card though, or just grab another 2nd hand 6970.

been testing my hz27wc now for 5 days and i cant fault it in any way, the colours are vivid and spot on. no sign of any back light bleeding and no dead pixels, when gaming no ghosting or trailing and very responsive and smooth more way better than my ilyama e2209hds. the image is gorgeous and everything looks way better than it would at 1080p and bf3 looks stunning at 2560x1440. i am very happy with it and would recommend its great value for money

Same. I've had no problems with it so far. Looks gorgeous. Need to grab a 2nd cheap 6970 off the MM though me thinks. ;)

I think my ATI 4350 512mb is suffering from lack of ram as it redraws icons and stuff on when switching between web browsers and applications when a few are open.

I was going to get another ATI and was looking at 6450 1024mb but I see some have problems with ATI and this monitor. Is the 6000 series affected?

Hi I got mine for primarily Photo editing and for people struggling to set theirs up why not get a Spyder.

Am I aloud to post on products that OC dont sell ? sorry if not just remove post.

Basically adjusts your screen to true rgb setting and then monitors light level afterwards.

To be honest the factory settings are not far of true except brightness level which believe it or not will need to turn up slightly:eek: depending on how bright room is.

well folks to say i am livid is a complete understatement      I have just recieved an email from overclockers saying a technician has tested my monitor and it is making no buzzing and shall be returned to me. How the **** can they say this???! I'm an IT technician so i think i know whether a monitor is buzzing or not. I knew this may happen so i took a video of the monitor before i returned it to prove the buzzing and squeeling sound. Is there any way of me reporting this to trading standards?? Surely overclockers can't keep fobbing people off like this. If i pay £350 of my hard earned money for something i expect it to work properly

Nosluom

I had to return a laptop to another e-tailor once with a flashing screen. They tested it and said the screen was fine. Luckily I took a video on my phone of the screen. I mailed I phoned them before they sent it back, and got an e-mail addy to send it. And then they finally sent a replacement.

Its best to get extra evidence, in cases like this.

thanks for the reply. So glad i made the video now then, i even showed me holding the reciept next to the monitor so they knew it was mine. I've reported it to management anyway so i'll see what they say first

Why am I not surprised they came back and said nothing was wrong with the monitor, It makes you wonder how they actually test these things. This is not the first time I have heard or experienced this from OCUK
