Hazro series - HZ30Wi, HZ30WiQ, HZ27WA, HZ27WB & HZ27WC

Got mine yesterday (WC) - next day delivery to Portugal - amazing service (thanks OCUK).

No dead pixels, amazing quality. OK, so the build quality/frame/stand aren't great but perfectly useable. It survived a LAN party last night and hopefully another lengthy session tonight. Came from an NEC 20" GX2 and it's a very good upgrade. Partnered with my new GTX670 it's superb.

Not sure I want to try overclocking it to 75Hz though....

ps - and got it for £400 pre order! ;-)

3 weeks ! Sorry to hear that mate
Thanks whitestar85.
The irony of it was that I had read through pages of complaints in this thread and then seen a response from a user called "Hazro" who was defending the company. He said that the forum was bound to be full of comments from unhappy people because the happy ones rarely bother to contribute to this kind of thread. I thought yes, he's got a point there. So I ignored all of the complaints and bought myself a brand spanking new HZ27WC, and it was a beautiful thing.... for 3 weeks. I even gave it a 4 star review on the OcUK product page! Oh well.

I just brought one myself was going for the dell but cheaper out Dsr might be in the cards when it arrives :(
Can you please post your thoughts when it arrives and you've had time to try it.
I would be interested to know whether you can hear any buzzing coming from it when viewing certain web sites. OcUK's web site always made mine buzz. Also, mine had 2 patches of backlight bleed against the underside of the top bezel. Only noticeable against a black background though.

Mine buzzed too wapcatlet, on this site a little bit but louder on wikipedia and gmail. I also had backlight bleed in various places although not enough to bother me in actual use.

Thanks for the info Fisk.
Although I have no intention of buying another Hazro I am still interested to know about other people's experiences. Like you, I was willing to put up with the buzzing and the backlight bleed. I wouldn't have RMA'd it for either of those things.

Well i've had mine for a couple of months now and no problems at all (other than the original one not working, but i can't hold that against the current monitor.)

Let's hope saying this doesn't provoke fate though :)

The only thing that could be considered an issue is a very quiet humming when displaying a mostly white background, but you'd have to try to hear it...

just a word of warning to anyone considering buying one of these monitors.

i bought 3 HZ27WC monitors 5 months ago, to use in nvidia surround (mainly for bf3) and the glass panels on ALL 3 monitors have fallen off! it's only held on with double-sided sticky tape!

a couple of weeks ago, one fell off and smashed and i have just received the replacement monitor 20 minutes ago. it is a 'b-grade' monitor (whatever that means) and was packaged so badly, i was suprised it even worked! there was no protector on the glass screen, there were scuff marks and finger-prints all over the monitor and all the parts and manuals etc were just thrown in the box, which was barely secured with brown parcel tape!

it really is a disgrace. i don't know where the monitor originated from, or what fault it previously had with it, but i'm not too happy about the whole situation.

when the glass smashed, OCUK tech support said to just stick them back on with superglue!! unbelievable!

i've had them for just over 5 months, as i already stated, but i'm tempted to just send them all back, but what are my chances for a refund at this stage? afterall, they are NOT fit for purpose if the screen keeps falling out!

Wow, wow wowwwwww... I'm so suprised to hear all these stories with glass falling out and stuff. I've had no single problem with mine but I'm getting a bit scared now!

Mine is from the very first batch OCUK received...

just been on the phone to a tech support guy. i originally bought the montors on 14th december, and as all the monitors have had the glass panel fall off, then i'm entitled to a full refund, but i've got two weeks (before my 6-month point) from today to decide!

i really love these monitors, but the build quality is absolutely atrocious!

if you only have one of these glass-panel monitors, then i assume that you have it tilted slightly backwards, which should (in theory) make the glass less likely to fall out.

my problem, i think, stems from having 3 of them, so to fit side-by-side, i have to have them all absolutely vertical and straight, hence gravity will eventually override the ridiculous double-sided tape!

do hazro build these on the set of 'blue peter'!

mine is tilted slightly downwards, it's mounted to the wall. Guess I've been lucky... SO FAR.

"do hazro build these on the set of 'blue peter'!" lol :D

if i hadn't bought them when they were £369 each, they would be going back, but that is my dilemma! i got them for a superb price, and they are superb monitors, apart from the glass falling out!
