He did it again!

This is the main worry right now, and more the point of this thread.

Maybe a year out of the driving seat will make him mature? I doubt it.

His problem isn't that he's unruly, it's that he ALWAYS thinks he knows better. We're stuck for ideas one how to get him to slow down, and realise that his driving talent is below average.

Edit: Come to think of it, a Dangerous driving charge would mean his licence, 6 points in 2 years.

I don't know what to suggest. My usual suggestion is "when he's had a couple of close shaves/a stack, he'll slow down". But with your brother it just seems to do nothing...

In all honesty, i don't think it'll be long before he ends up with serious injuries/injuring someone else. I guess the only thing you could do to protect himself and others is just not let him drive.

Everyone is rebellious/cocky at 19 (?) but your brother is just taking the ****.

So don't reverse into things? Is that difficult for you? :p

The duck tape isn't factory fit? :D

I just don't like Mondeos, they're 2nd in line to a Nova. I want something with some visible styling ques.

No, people stick it on when they split the bumper by reversing into things, as its easier than popping down the scrappy for a new bumper. Blaming the car for it is a bit like blaming Fiat every time you see a silver Punto with a green rear bumper.

Fair point, doesn't make me want to join the OcUK Mondeo club tho, it's all that ever gets suggested round here.

The Bravo also offers me almost twice the MPG of more feisty vehicles.
So you wouldn't buy the best PC components for your money because it's "all that ever gets suggested round here"

You came on here and asked for advice when you clearly have your mind made up already to buy some piece of italian tat that is going to cost a fortune to keep ticking over.

Educate yourself with all of your possible options before you make a decision. That is the difference between a fool and an idiot.

No, I cam in here looking for suggestions on teaching my brother to drive.

The E6850 is the only thing suggested on a lot of PC forums, but the Price/Performance sucks. It's not always best to go with the crowd.

The only suggestion I've turned down is the Mondeo, and I did actually state from the beginning that I'd already made my mind up to rule it out.

He managed to spin a 999cc Uno through a wall. I'm sure he'll find a way to do something equally amazing with a Panda 750.

We need to think smaller, much much smaller.

I'm talking the lack of safety features and that the car feels right on edge taking a slow corner at 5mph ;)

Jeez, I still can't believe that your families even considering letting him get a car, I'd sit him down and tell him it's the bus pass for him for the next year or so, that'll slow him down a bit.

Well, it is, he's not going to be able to afford a car for a while, about a year I imagine.

Trouble is he'll be 20 in 6 months or so, most that can be done is, "you can't keep a car here", but forcing him to move out is yet again, only a delay tactic.

His transport to College at the moment will be a Train then a Taxi.

We need a cheap cheap car which is as unnerving as an old 911.

For some reason the owner of the dealerships let him drive his 991 into the workshop for new tyres.
