height

Take so many steroids you become wider than you are tall...at least that way people wont make short jokes for fear you'll rip their face off.

ahh here we go lol.

im 22 years old and im 5'5.

the leg operation is a no go. like i said im looking for a point in the direction of a specialist i could talk to about the proper excersize, diet and the possibility of HGH treatment.

I thought you were going to say maybe about 5' or something!
5' 5" isn't that bad at all!
I'm just over 5' 7" and have been all my adult life ( my father was 5' 6") and while there are times I'd have preferred to be a little taller, it's never held me back and I don't think it would have been any different if I'd been 5' 5"!

No doubt you'll get the shortie comments/jokes from your mates and it's a bummer trying to get the right leg length in jeans etc but I wouldn't dwell on it - being realistic you can't change things unless there are huge advances in medical science.

There are many people out there far less fortunate with regard to how Mother Nature has dealt the cards so, accept who you are and enjoy your life as it is!

Do those shoes look normal to you?

Just to show you the difference lifts make.

I think people give Tom Cruise too much grief for being 5ft 7, his wives have always been tall and wear high heels making him look like a midget.

The guy in the pic is also standing with better posture which, in itself, probably added about 1-1.5"

At least you have a lower chance of back problems as you don't need to bend over to use everyday things like cash machines, walking under doorways etc.

It was in 'Minority Report' and it was said "in the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king".

Essentially, you're worrying as you're with people who are taller than you.
Imagine if you spent day in day out with people in wheelchairs who would swap with you in an instant.

Move to a country where people are shorter in stature and you'll feel taller or you need to learn to love yourself and what you bring to this world and stop worrying about what you can't.

Just get over it, your 5'5", thats not short at all as stated by other people in the thread. I'm 6'5", and i'm just a giant compared to everyone else i know!

Anyone else tall have to duck to use the card part of train ticket machines to see what the screen says on the card reader?
