I do chuckle when I see a Charger chasing a teammate round the terrain. The railgun nerf has reset the loadout!
Yup, number of times I’ve ‘dived’ into trouble when my ‘the division’ head was thinking I’d be diving out of trouble into cover - instead I’m laying prone on my belly waiting to be bummed to death by bugs/robots/team stratagemsAnnoyingly I try to sideways roll/dive out of instinct from other games (Hogwarts, The Division) but dive doesn't work like that in the game.
I keep doing the same thing lolYup, number of times I’ve ‘dived’ into trouble when my ‘the division’ head was thinking I’d be diving out of trouble into cover - instead I’m laying prone on my belly waiting to be bummed to death by bugs/robots/team stratagems
edit: that's not a criticism of the game, more an example of how at 48 it's hard to teach an old dog new tricks
It's a bit broken ATM I feel. Lots of times tonight teammates couldn't stim, some running around stuck with arms open pose, get stuck every time you pick up a medal or requisition jobby, keybinds reset and finally vanished on screen compass. Oh and no rewards for any missions but I think that was because the servers melted.
I dropped into the Helldivers official discord channel and I've never seen anything like it. Sure it's a bit busted this evening but the salt was utterly undemocratic.
Other than that, there doesn't seem to be much depth to it just go round shooting bugs and robots, wastes a few hours, probably better if your not billy no mates like me.

There isn't much depth to it as such, which is why I'm surprised/bemused to see some people raving about it like it is some revolution, but sometimes the simple gameplay is the best. But there is quite a lot of gameplay complexity largely due to things not being documented, etc. for example the weapons have a variety of blind fire (or lack of) functionality, you can use the environment in a range of different ways and so on, even saw a video of someone who managed to land on a tank and plant a hellbomb on it - if you drop it on the main part of the tank it sticks to it rather than falling to the ground.
