Help - computer just exploded! Now what?

My Corsair HX520 has been in my 24/7 on gaming&everything PC since the model came out and has not let me down once yet :)

try OCZ, 520 modstream i'm running is fine after 2 years couple of months haard usage, even with upgrades i've done (3GFX cards, extra HDD, new CPU)

Might I add, overclocked too with both PCIE sockets in use AND the floppy connector (omgz0rs!) :p

i would recommend a silverstone strider/decathlon
i currently been using a silverstone strider 750 for the last 18 months without any prob's
the only problem with the silverstone psu's is that OCuk do not appear to stock them

thankfully when your psu went it didnt take anything else with it

+1

i purchased my M12 700 http://http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-007-SS&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=1099&name=Seasonic%20M12%20Modular%20700W%20Silent%20ATX2.0%20Power%20Supply based on a review on jonnyguru as i wanted a very stable psu

quote from review " Not to rush anyone through this review, but I don't think ripple needs much comment. It's almost nonexistent! "

Just thought I'd resurrect this thread to say that about a week after my 620 exploded...my sisters did as well...great...two that I had to replace in a week

Thankfully both were just swapped over at the counter (even though I had mine over 2 years, it didn't need sending away)...but now I'm just waiting for them to go bang again.

Bah...based on experience I'd advise against those PSU's now :(.

I have always used Enermax psu's myself, never, ever had a problerm with one (touch wood) and I have also used a number of Tagan psu's in machines I have built for others, all of which have been fine to my knowledge.

I did have an Antec blow up on me once, killed my Abit NF7-S too :(

Get a PC Power & Cooling PSU. There's a reason this company has been around longer than most of the others. Quality and reliability!

Hardly anyone can afford a Turbo-Cool though and it is those that earned PCP&C their reputation. If you're just getting one of the Silencer models then how are they any better than what Seasonic have produced for Corsair or released under their own branding?

HX520W 15 months at 12+ hours a day. Replaced a tagan that died after over 3 years of simular usage, PC went down as if plug was pulled from wall. It only went bang when I turned it off and on again, didn`t take anything with it either thankfully. I only got the Corsair because everyone was raving about it, wouldn`t mind if it blow up as long as it doesn`t take anything else with it.
