Help for long time existing customer but new to forums

Cheers, that's helping:)

I can see a bit of a pattern in the users that can't see it but definitely should.

Does it help if I mention I can't see it? I have access to the MM so maybe not that important to sort out but it seems on principle we should also be able to see it right?

You should yes, but that is the issue, you cannot and it absolutely makes no sense at all, but by at least posting the same deal both in MM and that new section is does open the deal upto more eyes whilst still keeping it out of public view, in short its not ideal but its our best solution so far to getting more cards into the hands of genuine gamers. :)

Yup.

I fear I may have to do something terrible, I may have to create a spreadsheet with a list of the users I know can't see the GPU deals, those that can, and their account permissions.
I hate spreadsheets, it's one of the reasons I never wanted to become an accountant :p

Haven't able to see the deals secty, but tbh I'm in no rush, and not the sort to throws toys out of the pram because not included, the time will come I may get access to these areas but untill I just get in with it

Yup.

Hahah, well if there is any way members can offer their time to help somehow, I'd be happy to. It sounds like an interesting problem to solve (for a programmer :D)

PS - I'm no accountant but I rather enjoy spreadsheets, until they crash!

Make sure to get your TPS reports done too! :P

New section still not visible too many including me it seems.

Are you getting any people with only 50 posts or whatever seeing this supposed new section, would be interesting to know how many can actually see it if any.

Yup.

Yeah I still cant see it, get that copy of Excel 1997 dusted off.

There are a few with 50 posts that can see it, including at least one of our dedicated test accounts.
That's part of what's making it hard to diagnose is that there are people who obviously should have access and can't, and others who barely qualify but can.

Works for Windows.
Now to find the floppies....

Hang on, you got a 3080, a decent model card as well, at launch RRP and now you want another card at a discount. You don't currently qualify so you're constantly moaning about it.

Do you not have any empathy for hundreds waiting in queues who haven't managed to get one card, let alone two?
What do you talking about? We have 6 pc's in the family. Do you think if I've bought a 3080 to my wife I can't buy anymore card for MSRP? Should be clever to stay silent bud...

It's a good idea, I hope it works as inteded to put GPUs in the hand of gamers and not scalpers! Anyways huge props for trying something. Ultimately the problem will only be resolved when capacity matches demand... I just hope that's in time for my planned upgrade for Battlefield 2042! In the meantime sticking to 2D games like age of empires...

I'm just taking a shot at the dark here, if people that have way above the required posts to qualify can't see it but those that barely just, would that indicate you might have set the requirements between a fixed range? I.e 50-50 can only see

Long term user - can't see the new section - been meaning to mention my post count is way down for some reason (doubt I ever had enough for MM) but I used to post a lot but I think my ordering and forum accounts got messed up several years ago.
Just checked and I have a receipt from OCUK from 2006 and this account was "validated" in 2005 but I think my first order was before then (for a prebuilt PC I picked
up in person from your old site).
Interestingly I can also find a email from you saying my purchasing account was set up in 2008 which is definitely wrong (and might explain the post count being out as I have receipts from before then).

Edit tried in another tab and I can see it now :)
And yes i could have added this as a new post but that's not how forums are supposed to work ..

That would be my assumption as well, a very small range has been set instead of greater than or equal to 50. Its either that or the forum members database is not fit for purpose.

I am yet another in the 'I have spent £2.5m feeding my guilty hardware habit over the years, but now do want teh graphicz' camp, but participating in a community has an inherent value, as others have said. If you've lurked like me, you haven't accrued that value, so don't get to 'spend' it on the shiny. It's really not hard to understand!
