Hi all you ocuk's. I need help, I'm going out with my clan tonight for an indian. The problem is I've never had indian before, and I know if I as them they'll stuff me up :).
So what do you recommend for an indian virgin, it needs to be fairly mild, but tasty.
Thanks in advance.

Korma or Bhuna, they have a little warmth to them, but nothing you cant handle.

Korma looks a little minging though.

Just make sure you get plenty of chapatti's or Naan bread so you have something to soak it up with.

Also if you do find it too hot, ask for a glass of Lassi (think thats what it's called) it is a yoghurt based drink which will calm the burning effect, water will make it worse.

Chicken Dupiaza Balti and a garlic naan bread, mildly spiced chicken but with loads of onions and tomatoes.

Spinach and vegetable balti, saag aloo and garlic naan is my favourite.

Nothing like six pints of Kingfisher and a boiled-egg madras mate, Just don't expect your mrs to come within 50ft of you for the next couple of days though!

Seriously though, as a curry noob and if you're convinced your guts won't handle the spicy stuff:

1. Korma (very mild, coconutty although quite rich so you're stomach may not enjoy it)
2. Rogan Josh (tomato-based curry sauce)
3. Chasni (pleasant sweet and sour taste)

Thanks for all the advice guys and girls. I'll just have to remember it all now, going to be in the pub for 3hrs beforehand
Which is, of course, essential to the enjoyment of a good ruby!
