Help launch a new case!

I want a small itx (or matx) case for a render node and thought it looked good at first, then started looking a bit harder at it.... atx psu limits the use of the 2x120mm fans to 1x120mm, same if you want the 3.5inch hard drives which wouldn't have good air flow, especially with a large gpu blocking the bottom vents. And I'm not sure I like the placement of the ssd's by the psu either...

I'd argue the fractal node 304 is better layout albeit a couple of inches longer and wider but a couple of inches less in height. It's maybe not as well made and missing the optical drive and the option for a 240mm rad (which is out of the window if you use an atx psu) but it does have better overall air flow in my opinion

Another issue/ design flaw to me is the lack of active cooling towards the GPU fans.
There is a bottom intake at front, but looking at the case (airflow) layout, I would think it would be best use with a blower type graphic cooler (with the cool air directly feeding the cooler's intake), rather than the "dump heat into case" type graphic cooler (with the limited airflow so it won't be very good at getting the heat out of the case).

Now I see the fan! damn my half sleepy brain. Well, hopefully it can get enough air into the case to help cool such things. I do agree that a blower type cooler is probably the best bet for this case, if you haven't got some watercooling going on atleast.

The more I look at it the more the design is growing on me.

The guys behind the design of this case should get hired professionally. So much thought has gone into this. Absolutely brilliant!
Great looking too!

It's well designed but imo isn't better than a SG05, the reason I went M-ITX was for size and this is bigger than a SG05 which can accommodate high end hardware along with a SSD and 3.5" HD and even comes with a great PSU :)

They should take a look at the SG05 and see if they can improve on it without increasing size instead of making a smaller mini tower!

Still it's better than the god awful Prodigy that most people think is the pinnacle of M-ITX cases despite it being close to the size of an ATX mini tower!

Think the initial awe factor has diminished a bit for me, but support for a large passive/quiet CPU cooler is a positive.

I'll decide between them if a UK retailer stocks a white SG05-Lite.

I think that was the original inspiration, the SG05, do love the design of this case and the thought that has gone into it, but IMO it is too big to be a proper ITX case much like the Prodigy. The SG05 is the perfect size for me but I think the internal design of that could do with updating but I love mine, does everything it needs in a tiny footprint.

It's been mentioned in another thread on here but it'd may as well be announced in here:

The NCASE M1 production campaign is now live on Indiegogo. Link

Cost is $205 + $40 shipping totalling $245 for us, not including VAT.

Cost of import duty and taxes to the UK:

Making a grand total of £190 :(

I'm finding it really hard to justify the price of this case. Unfortunately, being a limited production run and the fact there isn't anything comparable out there (as of yet, at least) makes it difficult to not still be tempted.

Same boat. Its a great case and pretty much the case I have always been searching for but the price is just too damn high. Maybe if Lian-li nab the idea and run with it we will see a lower price but at this moment in time I will stick with my SG05.

But you could be one of the first to post a build log on the forum :p

I was in same predicament with Lan-gear Infinity several months back before they broke store page (seems to be working again now). Was coming to around £140, but I couldn't justify cost for a black case with front USB 2.0 ports. If it had white case like the promotional shots I might of bought it back then.
