Help Team OcUK beat some Russians…

Make sure the power saving features are turned off when its on AC power...its still clocking down the CPU as though it was on battery power. You'll find the options in Control Panel->Power Management or something labelled similarly. That might explain the high ETA.

Celeron-M > Celeron-D, even though the Celeron M is usually running at half the clockspeed of the D. Pentium M will be light years faster.

I know.

I was just showing that there is a worse computer then a laptop running folding :)

:(

Ok i just checked the power settings and It had maximum battery on for some reason! Never seen it like that with the AC power. Anyway I changed the setting from that to minimal power management. Unfortunately there's no way to turn it off as far as i can see... There's also a maxiumum performance option.

It's still around 900Mhz... Should I restart?

That Pentium M isnt far off an Athlon 64, clock-for-clock in folding. It'd be faster than an Athlon XP and some Pentium 4s (depending on the exact work unit).

Great to see lots of people joining still. :)

Lots of you don't seem to be aware of fahmon. It will tell you what units your cruching, how many points there worth etc and its easier than looking in the text file. A handy little program if your interested in the points side of things.
