Heroes of the Storm

Levels 37-39 of Hero League seem to be hell. For ever good win I get they are always followed by 2 horrific losses due to picks or people leaving.
 
I've been playing this over the last few days and I have to say, I really like it. I played a fair amount of LoL but I find HotS far more accessible and the games are also shorter which is perfect for my busy life! The fact that you build your hero in the game makes for a really nice change and it means that you can adapt your hero to the game far easier and quicker than you can in LoL. I think it works better than having to go back to the shop in LoL. I understand from a tactical point of view that picking your time to go back and buy items is crucial to get right, but HotS doesn't want to take you away from the fight which I find works really well.
 
Sorry I meant on Hero League. Been playing quite a bit of it

Definitely a lower skill ceiling than dota but then again it's more fun :p
 
I also don't have any level 10 heros. I have a few lvl 9 though. The amount of games you need to spam to get level 10 is slightly off-putting
 
I've not played Tassadar for a couple of months I think. I forgot just how well rounded he is as a hero.

Once I hit 10k which should be next couple of days i'll buy Jaina.

lol this game..

DID 16 games cooperative last night before googling the difference between quick match and cooperative...

for some reason my brain decided to assume quick match would be vs bots with the ai or something.
no wonder those 16 games were so easy.

like 8 quid to buy a character though and gold takes ages to get :S

don't think I'll keep playing it
 
Gold can be a pain, I run the stimpacks which help a lot. 75g for a win and 50g for a loss.

I think heroes are a bit expensive but I guess they have to make their money somewhere.

I've played over 700 games now!

There are weekly sales on the real money prices, you can get a fair amount of gold doing dailies and just raising your player level. You also get 500 gold for getting to level 5 with each hero.
 
I have been playing Jaina lately being as she received some love from the last patch.

My word she pumps out some damage.

Last game I played we had ETC and Nova. Team fight starts so ETC jumps in and stuns them all with his ultimate, I drop blizzard and Nova drops her ultimate.

5 heroes down.

I'd say she's the strongest assassin at the moment, squishy as hell though and no escape until you get blink at 20.
