You're right though there is a skill level, sadly with QM it can be hit and miss. It's worth understanding what other heroes do so you know either how to counter or avoid.
 
Played a game vs kael'thas lunch time as jaina, his ult seemed to do a lot of damage but I agree not op like Thrall on release.
 
I'm really enjoying the game. Got Jania to 5 and got ETC to 4 so far.

It's different to Dota and I like it. It's strange as in one respect with it being so quick I don't care as much if I lose as it isn't drawn out over an hour of my life! It's quick, punchy and fun which I like.

uts strange not being able to carry like in dota, it's all about team which is good as it can cover someone having a bad game but equally if you get a bad team you are completely done for.

Like the differing maps and objectives and the overall feel, also seeks to be more to do and aim at (account level, character level) as opposed to dota. I'll certainly be investing time in it as an alternative, if not replacement, to dota.
 
I see it as the MOBA for people who like the idea but don't like DOTA or LoL which is me.

Jaina is probably the highest damage dealer currently and ETC is probably the best warrior . I just can't get into playing ETC though, I love playing Muradin.

Also it might be worth buying the starter bundle, its a couple of quid, comes with a 7 day stim pack and a few heroes.
 
Just doing the tutorial and enjoying it so far, however I hate the camera! Having to scroll with my mouse urgh!

Have you guys changed it to WASD at all? How do you guys manage your camera?

In the menus there is an option to use follow cam. Follows the hero then instead of having to scroll with the mouse.
 
In DOTA I always used WASD to move around, and then the numbers for 'powers'.

Is it not really needed to move around the map as much/as quick in heroes?
 
Is there any reason I couldn't bind map movement to WASD keys?
If i changed the powers to keys 1-5?

Not played it enough to find out if they are ever used for anything.

No idea not tried it. W and D are used for skills but they can be changed easily enough.

Just checked looks like you can set the camera to WASD if you wanted and then map your skills up to something else.
 
Only thing I'm finding I dislike about the game, well actually the playerbase but there's no surprose in a MOBA, it is so clearly a team based objective game. The amount of people who just stand in lane and do not help in either team fights or with the objectives is baffling :p:(
