Hiphop fans in here?

lol i actually hate the word freestyle as you know 99 percent of time its just a recycled written verse i can count on one hand actual freesytles out of the thousands of freestyle tracks ive actually heard

You are right! Most 'freestyle' isn't. That track is pretty good though, ignoring the 'freestyle'! :D

The backing track is 900 Number by Mark The 45 King. He has also produced Jay Z - Hard Knock Life and Eminem - Stan. Dude is 50 years old. Reespect!

Klashnekoff is awesome too.

Klashnekoff has some good tracks!

Good to see another 11:59 fan and vid posted, they still sound as fresh today as they did back then although that was my least favourite of all the tracks that they did right enough.

I used to love that one from them...just a shame someone at a party stole my 12" of it years ago along with Bushkiller, NSO Force and Demon Boyz 12's. I'm just glad I've managed to keep some of my favourites safe over the years.

It's surpising how many tracks from back then and before still stand the test of time. I've many a fond memory of dropping Depth Charge ft. Alkaline - Silver Fox and listening to it tearing P.A. systems a new one. :D It's just a shame that there's still such a bad attitude from some towards good hip hop from these shores.

Yeah man, the music stands up, it has not aged, I sold all my vinyl to a japanese collector, I didnt really realise the value of it, i got about £1200 for what i had, I saw him sell the doubles he had and was shocked to see stuff like Tim Dog's second album go for £25.

I thought it was lost forever so youtube has been brilliant, HKB Finn from katch 22 has done an amazing job of ripping most of it now. Was a great time in life. Its funny now that hip hop is the largest music industry around, people really dont believe that at one point it was possible to buy every rap release for many a year before volume overtook it, I used to spend £40-50 quid a week and get everything till about 93 when it just got too much and id have to pick and choose.

Nice one on the sale. I'd probably have parted with most of mine for that as well. Odd that someone would buy Tim Dog's second album for that though.Haha!

It's only recently that I've checked out HKBF's youtube page. Doing a nice job indeed. Definitely was a good time in life. The days when Hijack got a bigger cheer than Ice T and the rest of the Syndicate.

The Brotherhood's first LP was amazing. Unfortunately another victim of Industry Rule #2080 and got shafted by Virgin.

I didn't have their album although I do have the 12" of that. Did quite like that tune. The instrumental is nice.

Were you at the Rhyme syndicate tour in Glasgow or did they play Edinburgh too? I loved Hijack finishing one gig with "we will return" and then i think they came back not long after and said "we told you we would return" :)

They were good showmen thats for sure.
