Having listened to Doctor's Advocate last night, I think its one of the best hiphop releases this year, especially from the "Westcoast Gangsta" subgenre.

Production is very good, and Game sounds a lot more confident of himself on the mic.

True say man! I swear to god, i wouldnt argue with him when he said "Im pac, big, Cube and Nas"

Im happy for this guy man, after all the drama with 50, g-unit and those who wanna see him down. Im loving One blood (it's ok), Wouldnt get too far and the one produced by Scott torch. I also love the one he did with Busta Rhymes...in fact i love all the tracks.

Im sorry but Mobb deep album last album was a flop. To date that was their worst album ever, their collaboration with 50 was a major factor on top of that one of them put on a fake Southern accent in that popular single from the album....There street cred has taken a dent.

This is just the way it is in hiphop. For example, Xzibit had a strong underground following but since he started doing pimp my ride, people think he's gone commercial and sort of sold out! Again his album didnt sell much either. Look at ice cube too (an exception though) people snipe at him for "going holywood" and rumour start coming up about how he cant even rap well no more - He proved them wrong! His latest album - Laugh now cry later is imo a classic or almost a classic.

^ IIRC sales figures take 1 weeks so 21st prehaps. Album was leaked about 2 weeks early and was all over the streets of NYC and other big US cities, may harm sales a little.

Oh i see, i just wish he make platinum man after all those drama he went through.

I have listened to the album, pirate at first then when to buy a copy :p I love almost every track but i dont know if he would sell more than the previous album.

Cheers dude. Didn't know Xzibit had another album out, might give it a listen as I was impressed with some of his earlier work.

I've got The Games album but think it drops off after a good start and I've had a listen to the Re-Up and Kingdom Come and think both suck.

Xzibit album is good, i have heard the whole album but not thoroughly. It is way better than WMD he made last.

The game's album is good in mp opinion and way better than your average G.rap album - no bitches, fast cars and monies in bank etc.

Kingdom come i really dont like but i put it there for Jay Z's fans i suppose, it is more about him just laying back and bragging about all his acheivement...im sorry but i heard it all before.

The Re-up is supposed to be the old eminem back, full of rage and more rage than ever but i honestly think it is the same eminem in a new bottle. He dosent sound different to me - lyrically and albumly :p (yeah i no that aint a word but you get what i mean) :o

Since interest is back and running in this thread, lets have light shedding session on as to why Rap cds (or hiphop sales) is not shifting/very poor in the UK? Are we a nation of non-hiphopers or is it the crap our so called artist are churning out?

Ok something to get us all excited....check out this link and also watch the demo on you-tube link....It is an allegation about how one of the biggest producer in america stole a beat (or whole song) from a finnish artist! Truth or tosh? You decide....

I think the songs sounds similar....

Are you crazy? Im sorry but 50 has NO good looks whatsoever....in the words of a famous rapper who dissed him - "50's buck teeth looks like a cadillac grill"....He looks nothing short of a gorilla.

Reagaeton is big in the state sides and those negihbouring country but i doubt it would be the next big thing.....since hiphop came onto the scene, not much has actually been bigger than it. There is too much going for hiphop for it to become less popular perhaps you and i are growing up hence why we think so but i guess the younger ones will be there to lap it all up...
