Hitman 2

Too bad IOI decided to screw over their paying customers. If you didn't buy the gold version you're still waiting, meanwhile pirates are playing it for free 3 days early. GG

Always the way. Paying customer are the ones who get shafted because pirates simply remove any barriers.

I suspect because the DRM they use is quite invasive (Denuvo) it's not as capable as it was before due to GDPR. They can't have software doing shady stuff in the background anymore.

It's funny, I started playing it earlier but ended up just doing all the challenges and assaasinations from the training missions of the original game.

Didn't even look at the new maps!

You might be able to answer a question I have then! Are the levels from the previous game just standalone, or do they include the storyline elements, cutscenes etc from it too? I'm trying to figure out if I'm better off playing the first game itself first, or playing the Legacy Pack levels in the new one.

Both.

There is a campaign, but also a load of separate challenges/targets on the same maps. Players can make their own targets with specific objectives then upload it for others to try and beat.

Cheers, just saw some streams and it does show that you can play through the previous game's "story" with cutscenes etc included in the new one, I'll pick it up at some point!

Just bought his off cdkeys for £25. Good deal considering it's £45 on steam. I don't mind waiting a day or two. It releases tomorrow. I bought the first one on PC as well. Hope I can download the older maps on the first as well.

Expecting the release price to drop massively with the game being cracked! £25 is a fantastic price as the first Hitman was fantastic , I'll defo be picking up this one.

I thouhgt the game would be unlocked now, but on steam we have to wait 10 hours yet? why? It's the 13th just unlock it :(
Pre orders unlocked a few days ago, well mine did anyway. Not really getting into it at the moment, seems to be relying on doing the same mission many times in different ways, don't like that.
Andi.

I still haven't got round to the playing the first one, I've got no excuse either as I've loved Hitman since the very start. Might just pick this one up and play through the previous levels in this instead.

First one is brilliant, I would highly recommend it. Some gorgeous maps and massive replayability, I still haven't even nearly done everything in it after hundreds of hours.

Sheesh, what happened to Ryzen in that video?? Surely that can't be right..

It must be their setup / build.

I have a Ryzen 1600 and Vega 64 and on my UW 3440 x 1440p monitor I got 55-73 fps with freesync keeping it smooth for me.

It goes higher (95+) but I force my fps down to the 73 lock.

The first map in New Zealand is very good, just finished it there. Looks great, plays really well, at 1440p I'm always getting well over 100fps. So far so very good.

Will be replaying it several times before moving on, looks like there are so many ways to complete each mission again but I always like to start with a silenced pistol headshot, feels professional.

Are there any deals going for the first one? I can't find it on Steam for some reason???

NVM: It's showing in the web browser but not the program for some strange reason.
