Hitman 2

Nooo, that's my first elusive target failed. I got the first bloke OK by chucking an explosive duck at him but shot the second one without realising there was a bodyguard behind me. Tried legging it but got shot pretty easily.

I see this is down to under £10 in steam just now is that for the full game? There seems to be a lot of adds ons and choices to pick from, do you have to buy all the levels in hitman 2 as well like the last one?
Take it this is the main game and the first 3 levels? Just before I buy.

Not sure I’ve just bought it now and started downloading, hope so. Also heard you get to play all the original hitman levels in 2 so can I uninstall hitman 1?

Never crashed for me either, 70+ hours in. The downside with this game though, and the first, is the utterly convoluted method of delivery; "this pack includes this but not that. If you want these levels you need this version etc etc." Also, like the majority of other games, the online leaderboards are broken because those with the highest scores used exploits. Ugh, just give me a self contained experience. /rant

It's very wonky, that's for sure. One day it decided out of the blue to not even start. Didn't bother troubleshooting as I just wanted to run a benchmark, but once I tried it again a few weeks later it ran without a hitch. Wouldn't be surprised if the devs break things all the time with the new patches. IOI is hit or miss ime.

I hope it doesn't go back to an episodic format. Personally, I hated it. I generally play games for the story and prefer to progress once a chapter is complete, with the option of replaying later if I choose to do so. I don't like being beholden to waiting several weeks before being able to continue.
Also, and this is very much a personal opinion, but with the addition of leaderboards, ghost mode and all the other related online junk, I feel that the series has lost some of its personality since it strayed from the "self contained" format of its predecessors. No longer do I feel like Agent 47, rather one of millions of others.
